Hello, just a question I was wondering now.

Until when the applications will be open?

 

Deadline for applications.

 

I'll be closing them out on Sunday night, I don't have a specific time though. The application will still be open to Prems-only, as per usual, but we will begin approaching people about interviews after Sunday night, so if you want to try to get in on this round of hiring, I would get that app in. =]

 

What exactly is "Media Content Recorders"?

 

They record cutscenes and the like for the site. Pretty much, they are the heart and soul of the Audio/Cutscene Archive. o;

 

Basically, they provide videos and the like.

 

Okay so when i click to go to the app it says "Media Content Reporter" is that the same as Media Content "Recorders"? I just want to make sure. =)

 

Yep, they're the same thing. :)

 

Okay cool! I just finished the application. I'm kind of nervous.

If I apply more the once, do I have a better chance?

 

Theoretically it will neither raise or lower your chances ... realistically it might lower them slightly - that is if you apply ofr the same position mutiple times within the space of, like, a few days.

 

So, technically speaking, if you applied for the position about two weeks ago and you apply again today, it wouldn't harm you significantly?

Just wondering about this.

 

I don't believe that it would, no.

However, if this is something that consistently happens, say over the span of a few weeks or more, then it would start to give a more negative impression than initial application(s) had.

Well, think about it this way, it's like going to apply to the same job twice in the span of two weeks. While your second application might be better, we still won't disregard the first one. Technically speaking, it doesn't REALLY lower your chances, but it might seem like you're trying too hard, or a lack of confidence. And like Plums mentioned, it does give somewhat of a bad impression when people re-apply too much.
But that's just my opinion on the matter. It just depends on the staff member :V
