How in the hell did we miss that?

 

Rayku is ambushed and taken in for questioning. Strangly enough, laughing the whole time. After being blindfolded, he is brought to L for an interview. L makes several comments about him laughing and asks what he finds so funny. He pauses, then states that this is all a mistake and the evidence has been misread. He also agrees to let the detectives search his home, which turns up nothing. Rayku is released due to lack of evidence.

That's exactly what I thought, but I didn't want to make this opinion public seeing as he may have become more careful with the knowledge that this was the conclusion reached. I wanted to accuse him shortly, but with that in the open, he may be more wary with when he has the note.
