I'd like to join as well, please.
Also recommending Star Wars Republic Commando: Hard Contact. While it is part of a series, it can also be a standalone.
    Suggestions need moar sci-fi.
    ...And Star Wars. B|

    Plums Edit: Added. <:

My suggestion is sci-fi as well.
    Although kind of softcore sci-fi.
    But still definitely sci-fi.

Any room left? I'd love to join in. I think I missed out on this week's session (although I have read the book) but would still love to join this.

My suggestions? Definitely loving Cirque du Freak at the moment, and while the Silverwing trilogy is, in fact, a trilogy, the books can be read standalone since the next book always summarizes what happened in the last one.

I'm also tempted to suggest the medical thriller novels by Robin Cook, as they aren't necessarily a series, can be stand alone, and feature recurring characters, but they can be a bit graphic and really push the PG-13 bit. Think House or Grey's Anatomy crossed with CSI and pumped with steroids.

And the session isn't over yet. Discussion's actually going to start up on Thursday, so since you did read the book I do recommend you participate. c:

I guess I'll make a serious suggestion. I suggest Darkly Dreaming Dexter by Jeff Lindsay.

While people are suggesting things ... I suggest Sabriel by Garth Nix. It's a really imaginative fantasy book which is the first in a series but can also be a stand-alone. It also links music with magic very creatively which I can relate to..

    +bump

Sorry guys, making the poll now. :x
It will be open until Saturday, August 27th.

Also, changing the poll a bit here.

I'm just going to take the six top books from the last poll (ones that had the most votes), and put them onto this one, in order to not only spread out the votes as well as to keep everything a bit more organized.

And I will also be taking my suggestion of A Clockwork Orange out.

    It's not too late, haha.
    Adding in now. <:

Also, very big apologies for the absence of a Book Club reading lately. Have been swamped with school, and the last two turnouts haven't been very large, either. May do one for the holiday season, and then decide whether to start it up regularly again or do it in a holiday format (as in, a book during a holiday celebration like Thanksgiving and such).
