KH: High Times At Twilight High

Larxene heard Axel calling her, and this only made her want to walk faster, trying to get away from him as soon as possible. But she wasn't going to turn to glance at him. And she definitely wasn't going to stop. From what she admitted to him, her cheeks had grown hot, and she wasn't about to let him see her blushing either.
Why am I so flustered anyway? she wondered. This shouldn't bother me...not at all...I don't even know what that means...I mean, why would he keep popping up in my head?

 

Axel sprung into a jog, not wanting her to get away. What she admitted had piqued his interest, in more ways than one, and he didn't need to leave it this way. It was surprising that she kept walking even faster, as if trying to avoid him. He reached up to her, grabbing her elbow, this time gently, from going any farther, and turned her around tenderly, only to go in another spur of shock again, making his heart jump.

He blinked, not daring to believe it.

She was blushing?

For a while he gaped at her, his thoughts jumbling around lost on what to make of this. Shaking his head quickly, brushing this off, he eyed her carefully, studying her. Axel swallowed hard, feeling a tension creep in his spine, but it wasnt enough to render him speechless, though he did feel his throat close. "...you...Larxene...? Why do I pop in your head...?"

He felt he wanted to know really badly, he really did. And this wasn't exactly the question he had in mind to ask of her, he wanted to talk first, except it won't work now.

 

Feeling Axel grab her shoulder and turn her around, the blush only deepened on Larxene's pale cheeks. He seemed curious about why he kept appearing in her mind - which was a terrible mistake to let him know. But having him ask this, to wondering, staring directly at her like this...it made her feel uncomfortable and made her have palpitations.
"Leave me alone!" she shouted, pushing him hard, before turning and walking quickly away.

 

Axel decided to let it go there, as he stopped himself from slamming into a wall from her force, seeing her spasms on him stopping her. He didn't want to give her pressure, or make her feel like she needed to tell him anything, so he left it there. Though it ended with him wondering the reason why. Why was she thinking of him? Did she...but that can't be possible, it just can't. Larxene hasn't proved anything of the sort. But then now he didn't know what to think after seeing her blush, and told him that she thought of him.

Gazing at her back as she kept strolling away from him, he didn't let her out of his sight, until she disappeared around in a corner. Heaving a sigh, he rubbed his eyes, slipping one of the handss through his hair as he scratched his scalp. Now he won't stop pondering over this until he got a good response. "Why are females so difficult?..."
