KH: High Times At Twilight High

Rei nodded, giving Tifa a small smile. "Okay." Rei looked around the large cafeteria, seeing all sorts of skaters and preps lounging around at their individual clique tables, and some undecideds mixed in randomly here and there. She sighed, sort of missing Axel already. What was taking him so long?

 

Tifa tapped her fingers on the table, thinking whether he found Roxas and decided to hang out with him. Everything was kind of...empty, without his mass of red hair aorund here, and his stupid and witty remarks. Other than the fact that he was known as the only guy (and girl) in the school with that shade of red, looking like bright fire, he was known around the Skaters as being the entertainer, the smarta**. "He better come soon. I can't understand on what would keep him busy. It feels like something is missing without him."

 

"Yeah, I know what you mean," Rei replied to Tifa. The table seemed bare without him there, ad really boring. Rei lushed herself away from the table, fed up with waiting. As she stood, she motioned towards Tifa to come with her. "Wanna go for a walk? We've got nothing bette to do." Rei thought that a nice walk would help get their minds of things, and help relieve some stress that they were both carrying.

 

Tifa nodded, getting up as well. Dusting off her uniform, and making sure her skirt was straightened even thought she had shorts under, she followed Rei on her proposition. Maybe with this, they can unconciously find Axel as they wandered around, at least, that's what she was hoping. He could even be singing One Week for all she cared. "Yeah, maybe we'll bump into him somewhere...and honestly, I haven't spotted Larxene either. I saw Marluxia, but not her."

 

Rei thought for a moment about what tha could mean, and asked something that was on her mind. "Do you think, that they're... together, somewhere?" She had thought of that possibility before, but once they were on the topic of she being better fit for Axel, she was on a roll and couldn't complain. But now that they were 'looking for him', she began to wonder. She walked beside Tifa, waiting for a response as they neared the cafeteria exit.

 

Tifa shuddered at the thought, though she was kind of nervous if they were, and what was taking them so long. She walked steadily, thinking of other possibilities, not that they were together. "Perhaps...maybe is a coincidence, you know? She might be somewhere else, and he might too....and I hope that's what it is."

 

"Y-yeah, probably a coincidence..." Rei said unconfidently. She knew that she was only going to the dance with him, but that didn't stop her from trying to go farther. She wanted to be with him, and if Larxene was in fact with him, she was getting in the way. Rei almost scowled, but held herself back as they walked by a couple of teachers. Whoa, don't want them to get the wrong impression during her first week here.

 

She finished the cookie and walked out of the cafeteria looking very depressing and emo.......especially since she had jet black hair.....

Tifa noted how Rei was doubting, and she even wasn't sure herself, so what could she say? There was a 50% chance that Axel was with Larxene, perhaps even talking about what had been bothering him about her. Talking. If they were together, they were hopefully talking. Tifa also didn't want to go looking for him, in case they found something they didn't want to see. "Don't worry. I'm sure there is nothing wrong, and even if they were, they can't be doing anything. Is half a chance they're in the same room. Come on, let's keep walking."

 

Turning to look at him, Larxene frowned. He just wasn't going to let her walk away was he?
"What you said? Don't be foolish, you know that no one ever takes what you speak to heart. It's how you behaved...for instance, the fact that you kept being so 'curious' about me, or how you didn't do much more than glare at me. Besides...when I kissed you...I could tell you enjoyed it. It's not like you pulled away, or your heart didn't beat faster."
Both times they had both kissed, she could remember her own heart had sped up, and that her breathing had quickened - something he obviously had noticed.
"I'm not denying that I didn't feel any pleasure from it...although if that's how you kiss a lady, I would advise you to practice on how to do it better."
She felt as if she was treading somewhat on a dangerous topic, seeing as how precarious he seemed at the moment...but she didn't care. She just wanted to leave...if she stayed with him any longer, who knows what else he might do next...

 

Rei smiled, feeling better as Tifa tried to regale her. She nodded and kept walking with her. It actualy did help, walking off stress. Taking out her green Ipod, she pressed play and listened for what song it was on. She heard Linkin Park lyrics to 'Valentine's Day', which actually deflated her mood again. That was a little... creepy...

OOC: Doesn't 'I think the guy I like is with another girl' and 'alone on a valentine's day' fit eerily together somehow? or is it just me?

 

Valentine's Day.......not a bad song.......unfortunately it makes you depressed upon listening to it.....

BIC- She stood outside in the hallway for a time jsut watching people come and go.

BIC- She kept on watching the hallway.

 

Axel chuckled at her words, the inferno cackling around him as he got even closer to her. Even wasn't long before he stood about three inches away from hers own figure, but he didn't do anything but stared at her blankly. But it was funny how she thought she knew everything. "Nobody takes what I say to heart? Speak for yourself. And my behavior? Yours is way more questionable than mine, and you couldn't blame my 'curiosity', because that's what it was, screw whether you believe it or not. And why would I do anything else but give you a glare? Unlike you, clean highness, I have no reason to be disgusted by people, and I have known you for quite a time. Now, why wouldnt I be interested? Let's go back, shall we?"

He quirked his eyebow as he placed a hand on his chin, as in thought. "First, your first slap on me. We left in a good note, and I heard you, and I quote, 'For a skater, you're not that bad', if I remember correctly. Then, your conversationm with Riku, I don't care if you know, I was eavesdropping, you were roughly thinking of peace. Then ou admitted to me that you think of me, and don't know why, and when I tried to look for that answer, you kept blushing and almost looked like you were to have a heart attack, running away. Lest not forget the other blush you showed on the stairs. So put the pieces together, and what could someone assume? Hmm? Count your acts, compared to mine. If you were in my shoes, and you saw a person doing the same thing you were, what would be your first conclusion?"

 

"Well if that was what you assumed, thinking it was so obvious, then why do you keep pursuing after me?" Larxene challenged. "Do you want me to just say it to your face? So you can just gloat and rub it in my face? Hm?"
She was beginning to be quite annoyed with how everything was turning out, but she might as well just go along telling part of the truth...she could just get it over with and leave like she so badly wanted to at the moment.

 

"So you're not denying it? Yes, I do want you to say it in my face, the reason why I was pursuing you, by the way, but I won't 'gloat and rub it in your face'. You obviously got the wrong impression of me, then again, not like you knew me anyway..." Axel replied smoothly, though his tone had a hint of a sourness that couldn't be controlled. This wasn't what he had wanted to happen, he had his own plans for when she denied, or just say one of her biting remarks that came from her sharp-tongue so she could go being ignorant, but this made him edgy. But he thought that perhaps they could make a mutual deal. He gazed at her intetly, making sure he had her eyes locked, to study them and spot something distrusting. "If you're honest with me, I'll be honest with you. For once, let's pretend that we are not in opposite sides, and be blind to the fact that we're normal people, in a normal high school, without a war. How about that? "

 

It sounded reasonable, but Larxene hated to reveal her feelings...what she was thinking at all...but if he was being honest as well...
"Fine," she relented, meeting his gaze coldly. "You want to know...about everything I feel? Such as why I keep thinking of you?" She hesitated, not wanting to continue on. "...I suppose there's something about you...that keeps me just...attracted to you...somewhat."

 

"You're not very expressive of your feelings, are you?" Axel had questioned absently, though he didn't need a answer, as he knew it perfectly well. But now they were getting somewhere, yet for him, he had to think it over. It was that something he didn't want to keep in his mind, or dwell about that forbidden thought, yet now was the time to ponder it over. He didn't really have to, nonetheless, when he told himself overtime that he didn't know or wasn't sure of why he had desired to know her response, he was very aware what the resolution was. He just chose to be ignorant himself as well. Even with his curious and interest, he wasn't blind enough not to see that his actions were more than simply wanting to know. Axel yearned to hear Larxene's own opinion because he....

But there wasn't a chance. The different sides, the fact that she was with someone else, and that she probably wants nothing to do with him were factors. But maybe in the end of all this, he would feel more satisfied if he just let it out. Axel hesitated, before speaking, a small smile appearing because of her reluctant tone, and had to mock her a little,"Is that's so....then I guess...there's something about you...that keeps me...just as attracted to you too..." He paused there, not wanting to say what was next, though the deal was to be honest. It was hard...but it wasn't like it was going to change anything, they were at borders already, and he was certain Larxene didn't want to break it for a Skater. Might as well get the reality over with now, though he found his voice lowered. "But for me...is maybe more...if you understand. It doesn't matter anyway, right? You hate my guts, and we both have to go our own ways..."

It was relieving to finally get out his thoughts and feelings, not having to be haunted by them anymore, despite her not revealing that much. Axel was glad that he now admitted them to himself, even with the hurtful consequences. Now all he needed was the metaphorical wake up call in the face, which he was shielding himself for, and he'll leave her alone like she so badly wanted, and try to move on, hopefully.
