KH: High Times At Twilight High

OOC: Awww :(, though I should be getting sleep.

Axel looked down at his hands on his lap regretfully, not knowing what to say, and for the first time, in a long while, he was scared, the dread filling up disgustingly in his stomach. Not only was his record probably scarred, he might actually be suspended the way this was going, and he felt like he was beign slapped in the face. He didn't knwo he screwed up this bad.

Saïx sighed, looking at Axel expectantly. "Not to mention, that you skipped the detentions I gave you as well." His gold eyes dilated as he saw the guy droop, making him look even more guiltier. "I have stood by you, Axel, and for the time being, in the record, you have 20 lates, but I know, and you know, there is more. I gave you a break. I also lessened how much you've skipped, for your sake. Now, what do you have to say?"

Axel breathed shakily, still with his eyes set on his hands. He was a bit surprised that Saïx had given him so many breaks, as he wasn't one to do that, but he guessed he wanted what was best for him, anmd wanted him to succeed. Axel was truly thankful. "Nothing...what can I say? I didn't do it?" He gave a chuckle, and gulped. "And thank you, Sir, but...am I going to be suspended?"

 

OOC: Yeah, I have to "get up" around 5:30 to leave early with my little sister (midle school b4 school honors choir). I remember doin that, but 2morrow morning I have a group of friends ding a choir ensemble, and practice b4 school (go figure).

Rei sat sconcentrated on her drawing, only to lose interest and put it away. She put her head back against the window, closing her eyes. I'll finish it later...
Dozing off, she tried to keep herself awake. She couldn't remember how late she had been awake last night after coming back from Market Street, and felt immensly tired. And it was only forst period, oh joy.
Rei took a deep breath, exhaling slowly. Raising an eyebrow to herself, she reached into her back pocket to pull out her green Ipod, scanning through the menu.

OOC: Haha, I should go. Rei and I need to switch places so I can get some sleep and she can be awake ^^
I'm not tired :D Seeya.

Saïx didn't say anything, as he wasn't sure himself. He had gave Axel all he could, and now, didn't know to take the risk to help him learn the hard way.

Axel took in the silence, and snapped his head, looking startled, a shiver passing through his body at what might be his punishment. No, he couldn't, there was no way that this was happening. Frantically, he shifted his eyes, he had to find a way...find a way to deal with him or escape what would be his future. That cannot happen to him, there has to be a approach to fix this. "Sir, I'll follow what I have to do. Just give me one more chance, one more, and you'll see results, I promise! I won't be late or skip classes, I can't promise I won't talk back to teachers, but I swear I'll behave. Just...please?"

And he meant it, or at least, he would try. More like try really, he just needed to get out of this.

Saïx remained impassive in face, thinking it over. Axel did seem honest, and quite frightened at what his fate can be, yet he has wasted many tries on him, and he was uncertain whether to do so again. Xemnas never took care of anything like this, and took it upon himself on disciplining the students, and now was a time where he had to make a decision. Gazing at Axel's worried and pleading eyes, he took over some probabilities, weighing the ups and downs. In the end...once more. That was all. Once more, and if he messed up, that would be it. No pity. "I have come to the conclsuion not to suspend you as of yet, I'm giving you yet one final chance, and you better get your act together fast. I'm warning you Axel, take in the final. Screw up, and your suspension won't be hesitated. For now, you'll have two month's detention, that you will come to each day after school, or face what you fear." He placed a pointy and sharp expression. "Is that understood?"

 

Abexecca found her classroom and handed the tardy slip to the teacher. Then she quietly took a seat in the back of the class.

 

God d*mn it.....why does she get to tag along?......*sigh*.....I ahven't even gotten a chance to talk to him and already he's probably a milimeter from getting suspended.......cocky jerk.......

She saw another student come in late but she ahd a trady slip.

......another one?......well...by the looks of it....she's a prep......better steer clear.....

 

"Yes, Sir," Axel responded seriously, nodding his head like a bobblehead doll, extremely relieved that he wasn't going to get suspended. He heaved out a shivering sight as he breathed more calmly, finding that a huge weight has been lifted off of him, and he was finally able to laid back in the chair to relax, closing his eyes at the close call, the dark tension diminishing. Axel really did have to get his act together, he'll still break rules, but he couldn't skip classes anymore, at least not as much as before, and never be late again. Ever. "I'll do my best, I promise."

It was then he heard the bell ring signaling first period to be over.

Saïx tried not to give him a reprimanding stare, as he wouldn't see it anyway with his eyes shut. He had presented more faith in him, and if that's broken, there will be no more Axel in the school premises. Placing back Axel's folder and his card back into the opened drawer, he closed it quickly, glancing back to the boy in front of him. "I suggest you get to your second class, wouldn't want you to be late after your little oath. You're dismissed."

 

Cloud sighed and looked at student's pass him by as he leaned against the wall next to the Computer Lab,he wanted to apologize to Tifa but first needed to know what class she had next

 

She had Latin next period but managed to spot Axel in the office and waited for him.

 

Axel gave a nod as he got up from the chair, not believing his luck, though he knew this was the last straw, and he had to prove himself to Saïx to stay in Twilight High. Feeling joyful at the moment, he looked at the said Vice-Principal, giving him a very gratefully grin, before it turned into one of appreciation. "You know you're my favorit-"

"You're dismissed."

"Right," Axel agreed, clapping his hands together as he gave another firm nod to Saïx's unemotional face, and turned around quickly, heading towards the door to get out of what could've been his death. Grabbing the knob, and twisting it, he opened the door to leave, only to be stopped momentarily by Saïx's voice once more.

"Oh, and tell your friend that I better, or any teacher that is in charge of night shift, that she better not come in after curfew," Saïx remarked to the redhead, getting another different set of papers from his desk without looking up.

Axel didn't say anything or gave any notion that he heard him as he went outside the secretaries' office, and shut the door behind him, leaning his back against it for a moment as he gave out another breath of relief. Blinking, and his eyes searching around, he spotted Rei by the window waiting with some kind of sketch pad, and even he saw Angel waiting for him too, patiently. Axel didn't know he was adored so much to get more company on his depressing minutes in the apathetic man's office, yet he felt loved. A smirk on his face, he rised from the surface of the door where he was resting, and made his way passed all the desks, reaching the counter and going through the waist-high swinging door that was at the corner end of the huge, wooden counter that it was connected. He smirked. "Isn't that sweet? I have loyal admirers."

 

Admirers?...hardly.....just making sure you didn't do anything dumb......so......did you or did you not get suspended?

 

"You don't see me moping like a baby, right?" Axel questioned with his eyebrows raised, a smile on his lips, walking over to where Rei was, motioning Angel to follow. "I did not get suspended. It was close though, I just have to behave like a good little boy from now on."

 

Gee....I wonder how long that's going to last......well...nevertheless...it's great to see you again, Axel.

She gave him a hug.

Well....I've got to get to class....have fun you two love birds....

 

"Glad to see you too," Axel honestly replied, as he returned the hug for awhile much tighter, before Angel broke away. Hearing her remark though, he eyed her surprised, his expression questioning. Did he actually hear her right? What did they do to show anything of the sort? "What?! Me and Rei aren't 'love birds', she's just..." He paused there for a second, not wanting to say 'friend' in case he hurt Rei's feelings in the process, and he didn't want to fully deny it either, as you never know what happens in the future. "...she's just a person I care about very much..."

Okay, at least he didn't have to lie.

 

Yeah....exactly.....

She gave him him a mocking smile that somehow was combined with a "I understand" look.

 

Axel rolled his eyes, shaking his head. She really put him on the spot there, but that was the truth. For now, he didn't return Rei's feelings for him, it was too early too, and why ruined a good friendship already with those type of things getting in the way? He knew he wasn't in denial either, a person knew when they were in denial, and they just went with it for a personal reason or other and let it delude themselves. "Exactly. I'll see you later, then?"

He also remembered that he had to get to class just as fast, knowing he had told Saïx that there would be no more lates.

 

Of course.....so....I'm guessing you better hurry up......cause....my next class is across the hall...later...

 

"Later," Axel replied back, watching her go off with a smile, still a bit startled from what she let out before. What he was worried about was if he was leading Rei on? Axel didn't want to do that, there's nothing sure or positive of what may come. He swirled his head to look at Rei sideways, not wnating to ditch her by going to class when she waited for him all this time. He wouldn't even care if he was late by that. "Ready to go, my greater admirer of mine?"

 

She sat down in Latin cass and by then her "not caring" look was back on.

Why did i even take this class?.......because it might help me in the mediacal field......if it even does....

 

"Hm? Oh, yeah," Rei said, turning her green Ipod off and placing it in her back pocket. "So, you've got French? I have Mythology, Math, and then lunch." Rei had noticed his hesitation before while talking to Xangel. Either that reaction could be good, or bad..."
Good, being he was a little nervous and liked her, or bad, that he didn't like her and didn't want to hurt her feelings. Rei smiled back at Axel, not really caring whether he liked her or not... yet. As of now, they were only friends going to the dance together by chance.

"Really? After French, I have World History, greeeeat, and then I have Gym with Tifa and Roxas, don't know who else is in it, then I got lunch, again with Tifa, Roxas, and now...you," Axel tapped her on the nose on the "you" part in the end, as he fingered the iPod in his pants pocket with his other free hand, to make sure it was there where he placed it when heading in to Saïx's office. It was then he remembered what the man told him. "Oh yeah, Saïx said that no teacher, or him, better catch you crawling in the night again after curfew."

It was then he gazed at Rei thoughtfully, studying her, getting back to what Angel mentioned. Axel didn't like Rei the way she did to him, but she was very attractive, and extremely pretty. She wouldn't make a bad girlfriend either. But that spark with him wasn't there...yet, and he felt guilty about it. It will be a good idea for her to stay a friend until further notice, and they both had the dance to look forward to.
