KH: High Times At Twilight High

And so, he stood there, waiting for her.

Well, he felt awkward, that was a given. He had never been to a girl's room willingly, other than Tifa's, usually, he lead the females to his room for some...quality time. His eyes searched around the place, clean for a girl, as normal, there were some objects strewn over things, giving it a small messy feel, but the tidiness was more present. Otherwise, the room was just like any other dorm. White walls, cream tiled floors, a TV, cable added in, VCR, DVD, a bed, a desk, bathroom in the corner, a bookshelf, and the heater next to the window, as well as the central air conditioning. There was the mini-kitchen where there was a counter, and a few cabinets to place food, housing a toaster and microwave, no ovens, of course. Still, Twilight High was known for its rich comfort, and gave the students more power on making them feel at home.

Axel then paid his attention at Rei after, seeing her go into the fridge and pull out a bottle of water, arguing to himself whether he'll just take the drink, say thanks, and leave, or to hang out for a little while, as to not be seen as rude.

 

When Rei came back towards Axel, he seemed to be thinking about something, because he had his arms crossed and is head down slightly. She came up in front of him with the water and grinned. "Your order sir," she said in a purposely lame-o French accent. "I will be back with your bill of $752."

 

Axel took the bottle from her, holding the cold water in his hand, halting from rolling his eyes at Rei's little jips. Though he played along with it, but more used to his fake accents that he sometimes threw on people, his French was more fluent and real. "Tres bien, you horrid gold digger. I'll pay you the amount of $0 for your cher hospitality."

He gave her a cocky smirk, before laying his back on the closed door behind him, starting to open the bottle of water as he crossed his ankles, all casual, like he owned the place. "Finally, no more whispering, if you don't mind, Mademoiselle, do you think you have some cough drops too?"

 

"Oui, most rude guest of mine," she said as she half skipped back to the kitchen and opened the top cabinet. Once she found the echinacea lemon flavored ones, she retrieved three. "These are pretty strong, but they'll clear out your throat and sinuses, Monsieur." Making her way back towards Axel, she threw one of the cough drops. "Think fast!"

 

OOC: It makes me wonder how we can write so well this late? xD

When she lunged the cough drop, Axel was drinking his water at the same time, and in his quick reflexes, caught it easily with his free hand that wasn't holding the water, still gulping down the liquid. When he pulled away the bottle, wiping his mouth with the back of his hand, it was half-full, and he eyed her sarcastically. "Nice throw, expecting to hit my forehead?"

Unwrapping the lemon flavored candy tablet, he flicked it with his thumb and it popped into his mouth, only for his face to grimace at the strength of it, though he got used to it quickly, yet he did squint his eye. As he was still standing there in the same position, now he didn't know what to do. Stay or go? Excuse himself, or just be...here.

He chose to speak instead, staring at her, making his French accent stronger. "And I'm not rude, my belle amie, you just priced me a high quantity. But....merci beaucoup."

And he sent her a genuine smile.

Rei laughed as she took a few steps over to the wall area next to the door, gracefully leaning against it, arms crossed. "There are many places I could aim, all of them très déplaisant," she said with a teasing look. When her normal smile reformed, she noticed his small gesture towards the cough drop and had to strain to not roll her eyes. " Intéressant reaction to the drops, monsieur. Pas de quoi." Rei then, in turn, rested her head against the wall, getting confortable.

 

Cloud was up on the roof looking up at the sky,wondering if Tifa was ready to talk

 

OOC: LMAO. I had to use the dictionary too xDD.

"No matter how much French you know, your accent still sucks," Axel teased, letting go of his French to his normal tone, and at the same time, ending their game. He grinned at her face as he savored the cough drop in his mouth, that was working in smoothing out his throat. He was still a bit wispy, but it would pass with rest.

He was still bothered on whether he should stay or go, and sighing, he thought going would be the best method. It wasn't like he wanted to, but tension was building, at least for him, and it would be better if he left. Looking sideways at her, with a sheepish expression, he said. "Maybe I should go...is getting late, and I'm a bit tired..."

Not the best excuse, but, there was no other alternative.

Tifa was slowly falling asleep, the shower that she took washed away most of her stress, and made her feel refresh. When she got into bed with her PJs on, however, the thoughts of Cloud and he emptiness she was experiencing doubled, making her give little silent tears.

Sniffing, she tried to wrench her mind of her ex-boyfriend, forcing heself to succumb to the unconsious world of dreams.

 

OOC: haha! XDD

"No, you just seem to have had a lot of practice at-" she stopped abruptly as he spoke again. She openly expressed her disappointment, but not in a whiny way. She frowned and lifted her body away from the wall, sighing. "Okay, and it is kinda late... I'll see ya tomorrow?"

 

"Of course, is the dance, remember? And you're my date," Axel reminded her, as the lemon flavored drop finally dissolved, and he took another gulp of water. He was sounding more clearer now, which was good, as he didn't enjoy hearing himself rasp out his words. He, in turn, also lifted his body of the surface of the door, fixing his shirt as he backed a few feet away, and turning around to face it. The now almost empty bottle of water dangled carelessly from his hand, moving back and forth.

Axel eyed Rei from beside him, staring at her let down face, and he felt a bit guilty. But what could he say? He hesitated, contemplating it over once again, but she didn't seem to stop him from leaving, so maybe it was okay. He shook his head, and gave her a apologetic smile. "Désolé. But I'll see you soon?"

 

The dance! That's right... I have to go shopping still... Rei thought. She smiled pleasantly as he approached the doorknob hesitantly. She watched him as he looked remorseful and apologized in his french accent. "Au revoir, Aesthetic Axel," she almost whispered. She had to stop herself from following him as he began to walk out the door, but she did come up to it and had her hand on the handle as soon as his was lifted from it. Once again, they were quite close to each other, but her nervousness had vanished.

 

This time, Axel did really roll his eyes at her for the "Aesthetic Axel", which he, truthfully, didn't understand what it meant. He had faced her to say his goodbye, when she appeared to be, once more, close to him again. However, unlike last time, despite that he did go stiff as it startled him, he didn't remain like a dumb, gaping robot, and gave her a coy smirk. It wouldn't hurt if he gave her something, it was the least he could do, even if she did like him.

Leaning down, he gave her a chaste kiss on her cheek for goodbye, bring his head straight, the smirk ever present. Giving her a nonchalant wave, he walked into the hall, leaving. "Au revoir, Baby."

Angel walked down the hall to her locker.

High school...whoopee.....I wonder how Axel, Roxas and Sora and company are doing.....

Rei closed her eyes for a second as Axel's lips made contact with her cheek, still slightly damp from the water. When she opened her eyes, she saw the smirk on his face as he waved. She lifted her free and from her side to the edge of the door, trying to not look too completely enchanted. She gave him a sterling smile as he turned and began to walk down the hallway. She, regretably, closed the door and sighed.

Now, suddenly remembering that she needed a dress, jogged into the room to her desk. Digging through her bag, she found her wallet and opened it. Successfully, she found $40 of hard earned money, working the past Saturday night for four and a-half hours asking stubborn people 'May I take your order?'. It was just enough to buy a nice dress on sale at the mall. She grabbed her sweater and keys and brushed her teeth (which, of course, reminded her of Axel's comment) before opening the door and leaving the room.

7:30, alright. The mall closes at nine, so I need to be quick.

Rei practically ran down the hallways before reaching the exit. Before leaving, she saw a girl that at first, she thought was Tifa. On second auric look, she noticed that she was new. Brushing it off, she opened the doors, which obviously hadn't been oiled in ages from the loud squeak, and exited the school.

OOC: What's curfew? I'll have her come back a little late and run into Saix XDD.

 

OOC: Okay. Since you're suppose to wear the uniform even if you take your own style with, I'll just put that she wear white jeans and the jacket.

But she still has the white blouse and tie of the top part of the uniform.

EDIT: Curfew is at 10. And I need to write what I have to post xD.

She found that a lot of people were staring at her.

......what?......am I doing something wrong?.....oh right...the dress code........*sigh*....I guess I better get changed......
