KH- Fast Food Madness!

Sora walked into the kitchen and numbly looked around.

 

Kairi sat up straight when she saw him. "Are you okay?"

Roxas looked over Sora, his clothes dripping and him soaking wet. Did he purposely stand out in the rain?

 

Sora walked over to one of the booths and laid down, his head resting on the cushioned seat. He wasn't feeling or thinking anything; the only thing he could see was Kairi's terrified eyes when she looked at him that day in the hospital.

 

"Sora?" Kairi watched him walk to a booth and she turned her head, giving Roxas a confused look.

Roxas shrugged, shaking his head.

Kairi got up slowly and walked over to Sora. "Sora...what's wrong?"

 

Sora didn't respond. He burried his head in his arms.

 

Kairi stared at him, worry and concern in her eyes. "Sora." Her voice had firmness to it, something she didn't expect. "C'mon, talk to me."

Roxas watched from his place by the counter, leaning against it.

 

Sora took in a shaky breath. He couldn't think of anything to say.

 

She could only sit there, silently worrying about him as random thoughts ran through her head. Was he not feeling well again? Did he get hurt? Was something on his mind? What was wrong with him for Christ's sake? He'd been down a lot lately, and she didn't like it. She didn't like it one bit.

Roxas narrowed his eyes slightly in concentration as he stared at his other. Something was wrong....

 

Sora shift his head a little bit in his arms. He shivered again as the frightening thoughts from that day filled his mind. Kairi...

 

There's something wrong. What isn't he telling me? Why won't he tell me?

Questions continued to fill Kairi's head as she waited for the silence to break. She hated this uneasiness she felt inside her.

Roxas stood up straight, his hands at his side.

 

Sora felt drops of water fall of his hair and onto his back. He felt so cold inside and outside.

 

Kairi turned around in her seat. "Is there a blanket or something back there? He's cold."

"I'll check." Roxas turned around and walked toward the back to Merlin's office. That wizard had always been prepared for anything, so he had to have a blanket of some sort back there.

 

Sora felt himself shiver again. He curled into a ball and grabbed his knees and kept them close to his chest as he continued to shake.

 

Kairi looked at him helplessly. God, she felt terrible.

Roxas looked around the office and rummaged through everything that would open. He eventually found a chest and opened its lid. There was a blanket there, and he grabbed it, walking out of the room and toward the kitchen.

Kairi turned around in her seat again. Where was Roxas with that blanket? Her impatience wasn't needed, though. Roxas came within her sight, a blanket in his hand.

Roxas walked over to them and flipped the blanket out, gently dropping it over Sora. "There you go, man." He stood there and stared at him. Sora had it rough; rougher than all of them.

 

Sora felt warmth cover his body. He began to regain conciousness of where he was. "Th-thanks." His teeth chattered.

 

Roxas nodded. "Sure."

"You think he's going to get a cold?" Kairi looked at Roxas.

He shrugged. "I don't know. All I know is that he's soaked, but it's a possibility. I would go get him some clothes, but the rain... And the police are probably everywhere around that neighborhood."

 

Sora pulled the blanket closer as he continued to shiver.

 

Kairi sighed and looked out the window. The rain was falling harder now, pounding the roof like pebbles being dropped. She watched people run about on the sidewalk, there umbrellas or newspapers over their heads.

Roxas looked out the window too. Somehow the rain calmed him down, relieving a little bit of the stress he had.

 

Sora grabbed the blanket and kept it over his shoulders as he sat up. He looked out the window and saw the rain coming down harder. He shivered again.

 

Kairi watched the people on the streets, her vision occasionally catching a taxi rush across the street, splashing water that was in puddles all over the street. She glanced over at Roxas and Sora, noticing them looking out the window too. She gazed out again. It was sort of a peaceful moment for them after all the chaos they'd gone through.

Roxas sighed quietly as he stared at the many raindrops. As much as it was peaceful, it was also sad. The rain resembled everyone's sadness somewhat in the room. The raindrops resembling tears, the thunder demonstrating anger, and the lightning being shock or adrenaline.
