"Who says they won't take me hostage too?" Sora shot back angrily. Why couldn't Roxas understand?

 

Hostage? Why would they want to take him hostage? He didn't do anything. Roxas shook his head and looked away. "I don't understand, Sora. Why would the police want to take you hostage? It doesn't make any sense."

 

"None of this does!" Sora yelled at Roxas angrilly. He put both hands on the edge of the sink and grabbed on tight.

 

Roxas's jaw tightened and he stared at Sora, his eyes piercing blue.

 

Sora looked down at the sink and felt his knees trembling. He locked them in place to make it stop.

 

Roxas kept his eyes on him. "Does Kairi know about this?" he asked firmly.

 

"About what?" Sora asked blankly, tilting head a little so he could see Roxas.

 

"The blood," Roxas said simply.

 

"I don't think so." Sora stated. He suddenly looked Roxas in the eye. "And she doesn't need to know."

 

Roxas stared back, his eyes strict. After a moment he looked away, his jaw tightening.

 

Sora let go of the sink and tried to hide his shaking as he walked out of the bathroom.

 

Roxas closed his eyes and exhaled. He was alone in the bathroom, silence hanging in the air.

 

Sora looked around the restaurant. It was completely empty. He was glad that this McDonalds wasn't open 24/7. The room suddenly began to spin. Sora grunted and felt himself slide to the floor as he grabbed his head and tried to make it stop.

 

Kairi opened her eyes slightly, tossing in her sleep. There was light from the street coming in through the small window in Merlin's office. She looked at it, groaning as she turned back over. Her eyes were expecting to find a sleeping form beside her, but instead found more carpet. "Sora?" she asked groggily. She sat up, looking around. He was nowhere in the room.

Roxas sighed before grabbing a towel and wiping down the sink Sora had vomited in. If there were any little traces of the blood or anything in the morning, someone would complain about it, and he didn't want that. He threw the towel in the trash and walked out of the bathroom.

 

Sora leaned back against the wall and looked at the ceiling, trying to keep his heavy breathing quiet. He put his hands to his side and noticed that they were still trembling.

 

Roxas walked to the main part of the restaurant and saw Sora against the wall. He approached him, his eyes slightly wide. "You all right?"

Kairi pushed herself up, suddenly feeling a pain in her back. Stupid floor. She ran her hands through her hair as she reached the door.

 

Sora nodded. "I'm fine." He said shortly as he tried to stand up.

 

Kairi pulled open the door, having to squint and put a hand over her eyes from the light. It was too bright for her right now. She walked out of Merlin's office and to the main part of the restaurant.

Roxas nodded. "If you're sure."

 

Sora let out a small grunt and stood upright. He let out a small breath, relieved that everything had stopped spinning. Then, as if on cue, it started again. Sora leaned back against the wall, trying to look casual.

 

Kairi put her hand down, adjusting her eyes to the light. "Hey, guys," she greeted softly.

Roxas nodded to her with a small smile.
