KH- Fast Food Madness!

Sora turned around a little, hearing the anxiousness in Kairi's voice. He saw the police enter. They obviously didn't know he was there; if they had, they would have brought a lot more men.

"Act natural." He told Kairi as he kept his head down and took off his shoes.

 

Kairi followed his order without a word, slipping off her shoes and putting on her sneakers. Her heart was beating rather fast from her nerves. It would be a disaster if they got caught.

 

Sora slipped on his second shoe while trying to keep his breathing normal. His heart was beating 100 miles per hour, but he couldn't let anyone know how afraid he was.

 

As Kairi finished tying her shoe, she looked at Sora. Hopefully the cops didn't have a picture...

 

"Kairi, listen to me." Sora said softly as he tied his shoe. "I want you to leave. Go home. I'll catch up."

 

Demyx chokes and gags, losing grip of the mop as he struggles to place his hands on his neck. With Axel's quick remark, a fry had gone down the tube and was unleashing all salty-madness upon his insides. "Achsel...*geg* I swallowed a fey!" Demyx tried to choke out, but the fry stuck in his throat was stealing his words and grabling them.

Goofy waited as the shiny looking hummer drove up to his window and stopped. Goofy's response to who was in the vehicle sounded surprise in the Goof. "Well Gawrsh! Howdy, Pete!" Goofy waved through the window as he opened the register and slid window open.

"Grr....Just gimme the food!" Pete growled.

"Okiedokey!" Goofy hummed and yelled into the back for the food to be cooked. "A Big art-clogger, with too much fries, and a Donkey Diharea, guys!"

Pete looked like he was about the barf, turning green in the face. "Say...what'd you call the food?"

"Oh, that? We have ter use codes so that folks in line can't tell what the person in the drivethrou is gettin', A'yuck."

"That's the dumbest thing I've ever heard of!" Pete yelled grumbled, gripping the leather side of his seat.

"Well, if ya don't like the food, go somewhereselse." Goofy replied with a humph.

"Nah..just get it cooked and get it over with."

"Alrighty then!"

"Donkey...diherea...grrrr!"

Hercules cleans off every table and picks up every piece trach from straw covers to cups, and even food trays. And within moments, the work is done. He caught Pooh's eye and said with a short breath from all the work, "What do you think, Pooh? All clean?"

OOC: Are Sora and kairi in Mcdonald's? I'm lost..>>

 

Pooh looked around and nodded silently. He had never seen a man as big as Hercules, and despite Herc's seemingly peaceful nature, Pooh was a little frightened.

Axel laughed at Demyx as he stuck another fry in his mouth. This is entertaining, he thought as he continued to watch Demyx.

 

Kairi's face was etched in worry. "What? You can't be serious!" she whispered.

 

Sora nodded silently. "I am serious." He picked up his bowling shoes and tied their laces together.

 

"Ah, don't worry, lil'guy. I won't knock the stuffing out of you." Herc said with a wink and a million dollar smile. He laughed heartily at his own joke, and went outside for his break.

As Demyx began choking more and more, with no end to the bitter pain in his throat, he fell to the ground. Even more to his unfortune, I'm gonna make you sweat comes on over the overhead and begins to play as Demyx starts jerking around in all kinds of manners on the ground. To one watching, he was merely break-dancing in-tune with the music.

OOC: Also, who's the fry-cooks for McDonald's again. I might just wait until one of them is on or Goofy'll cook the food himself...I don't know which I should do.

 

"Sora," Kairi said, her eyes piercing through him. "Don't be ridiculous."

One of the cops approached the man at the shoe counter. "We're looking for a young man named Sora. Have you seen him?"

The shoe counter guy arched a brow. "You mean the kid that survived those heart attacks?"

The officer nodded. "Yes."

The man shrugged. "Can't say I have. I don't know his face."

 

OOC: Riku is the cook. He's being done by Ventez.

Axel began to eat a burger as he continued to watch Demyx suffer. He was having fun for once.

Pooh looked away and quickly went back to making burgers.

"Please, just do it." Sora couldn't look her in the eye. He set his shoes on the bench and began to walk towards the men's room.

 

Kairi watched him walk away wide-eyed, dumbfounded. She sat there, frozen for a moment before she stood up and cleared their names from the screen over the lane. She grabbed her shoes and started up to the counter.

"We've been told he has spiky brown hair from these so-called "records" at the hospital that were put on by the imposter," the cop said.

"Spikey brown hair, eh?" The man thought for a moment.

Kairi placed her shoes on the counter.

The man turned. "Ah. You had a friend with spikey brown hair with you, huh missy?"

Kairi froze. The cops were right next to her, and she couldn't say anything in front of them that might give away Sora's identity. "I don't know what you're talking about. You must have me confused with someone else."

The man shook his head. "Nuh-uh. I don't think so. You and him were just in that lane over there," he said as he pointed to the lane.

"I'm sorry, but I'm afraid I don't know who or what you're talking about," Kairi said. She watched as the man stared at her, contemplating her words. "If you'll excuse me, I have to get going. Thanks for the shoes." Kairi walked past the officers with a trembling figure, but too little for anyone to notice.

 

Sora began to tremble slightly when he heard the cops talking to Kairi. If she were to get in trouble because of him...

Sora kept walking, hiding his fear the best he could. He entered the men's bathroom. He went into an empty stall and locked himself inside.

 

Kairi remembered Sora's words as she left the building.

Go home. I'll catch up.

But what if he didn't? No, she couldn't think that. Kairi started down the sidewalk and messed with her fingernails as she walked. She had to believe in Sora, and that's exactly what she was going to do.

 

After sitting in his stall for a few minutes and not hearing any noise in the bathroom, he silently got out of the stall and looked around. There was a window on the far side of the bathroom, and it was already open. Sora walked towards it and ignored his aching muscles as he climbed outside into an alley. After he was sure nobody had seen him, he began walking down the alley, away from the bowling alley.

 

"Sorry, fellas," the man said. "Guess he ain't here."

"Thank you for your time, sir," one officer said, and they left the building.

Kairi started along the crosswalk, looking down and messing with her fingernails. Sora, would make it. She knew he would. There was a screech and she looked up, seeing the car coming her way. She couldn't move; she was frozen. The car came closer, but it all seemed to move in slow motion. The time seemed to slow down as the car came closer and closer to her position. Kairi brought her hands up in front of her face by instinct and waited for the impact -- it was too late to get out of the way. The squealing of the tires against the pavement stopped and she opened an eye, peering at the car in front of her. The horn beeped and someone yelled at her.

"What are you doin'!? Can't you see it says 'Don't Walk'?!"

Kairi heaved a sigh and got out of the way. That jerk. He should've apologized, but he just drove away. He almost hit her after all. She at least deserved that much.

 

Sora walked out of the alley and saw another street in front of him. He quickly blended into the crowd and began to walk towards Kairi's house. He hoped that his picture hadn't been posted on the news, or he was doomed.

 

Kairi crossed her shaking arms across her chest. That was too close. She'd had enough near-death experiences, she was done. The girl made her way to her home as the wind blew her red hair behind her.

 

Sora continued to follow the crowd as they walked towards Kairi's house. He cautiously looked at the street, but he didn't see police cars or officers on foot. So far so good. He was only a few blocks away.
