KH- Fast Food Madness!

Kairi fiddled with her nails as she started down the walk. The bowling alley was in town, and there were a lot of cops out today. She hadn't mentioned the close encounter with the cruiser earlier today to Sora. But what if they saw them? Sora would be taken into custody. And her...what would happen to her? The thoughts made Kairi nervous.

 

Sora looked over at Kairi and saw her acting nervous. He reached down and grabbed her hand.

 

Kairi felt a gloved hand grab her own, and she looked down at her hand before looking up at him. She smiled softly. She really hoped nothing would happen to Sora today. He'd gone through so much.

 

Sora smiled back, confident. He wouldn't let anything bad happen today. Everything would be fine.

 

Kairi gazed ahead at the sidewalk they traveled on. She felt comforted and relaxed with Sora near her, holding her hand in his.

 

Sora looked ahead of them. The bowling alley was getting closer, and he glad that they'd be out of the open soon.

 

Kairi glanced down at her feet, watching one purple sneaker disappear when she took a step foward. Her and Sora's intertwined hands were within her sight out of the corner of her eye, and she couldn't help but smile slightly. As long as no cops were around, everything would be okay.

 

Sora casually looked ahead, watching for any police. He felt more nervous as they entered town. Maybe going out hadn't been such a good idea...

 

Kairi looked up. The bowling alley was just across the road. But she glanced around nervously with her eyes for any cruisers. Please don't let there be any. Please don't let there be any...

 

Sora stopped at the crosswalk and looked at the electronic walk sign. It had the walk sign glowing, so he began to walk across the street.

 

Kairi looked at the white markings that made up the crosswalk as she made her way across the street. Almost there, she thought. She squeezed Sora's hand.

 

Sora squeezed her hand back. They had made it to the bowling alley. He stepped forward and held the door open for Kairi.

 

"Thanks," Kairi said as she walked inside. It was kind of busy inside the business, but not too bad. She heard the pins being knocked over and watched people grab their bowling balls. Glancing back at Sora, she knew this was going to be fun.

 

Sora walked up to the counter and took out his wallet. "I'm size 12," He told the man who was in charge of handing out shoes.

 

"7 please." Kairi reached into her pouch to grab her money. She wasn't going to let Sora pay for it all.

 

Sora put his hand on hers. "I've got this." He took out a twenty from his wallet.

 

"You sure?" Kairi asked.

 

He smiled at her. "Of course." He handed the bill to the man.

 

Kairi let her lips spread into a small smile as she watched the man behind the counter.

 

"Here are your shoes." The man placed a size 7 and a size 12 on the counter. "You guys can use lane 8."

"Thanks." Sora took his shoes and walked towards the lane.
