KH- Fast Food Madness!

"You want to jump in the shower? I'll go get them for you," Kairi offered. Sora couldn't run around without getting caught by the police. She was the only other option, unless of course she called Roxas to bring them over...

 

Sora nodded. "Thanks." He put a hand in his hair. "I can't remember the last time I had a shower." He muttered as he opened the door and walked inside.

 

Kairi followed him in. "I'll be back in a few minutes," she said, walking toward the front door.

 

"Ok. See you then." Sora began to walk towards the bathroom.

 

Kairi shut the door behind her and started down the sidewalk. Roxas was only two blocks away. If she ran, she'd be back by the time Sora was out of the shower. She was sure that he didn't want to have to walk around in a bath towel longer than needed, so she started jogging down the sidewalk toward the blond's house.

 

Sora walked into the bathroom and shut the door. He slowly stripped off his clothes, careful not to bump any bruises. Once that was done, he climbed into the shower and turned the water on full blast.

 

Kairi rounded the corner of her street and started down the other. Only one more turn and a little farther down and she'd be at his house. She was sure that Roxas would probably have Sora's clothes, considering they always got dirty or wet somehow and had to change on the spot. Roxas probably had to wash Sora's clothes once or twice. Kairi turned again and crossed the street. Roxas' house was just ahead.

 

Ouch. Sora winced when the hot water hit his cuts. It really burned! Still though, the wounds needed to be cleaned. He took in a deep breath and put some shampoo in his open hand.

 

Kairi slowed her pace to a walk as she traveled across his yard. She stepped up onto the steps and knocked on the door. A few seconds passed and then the door opened.

Roxas smiled at the person before him. "Hey."

Kairi smiled. "Hi, Roxas."

"What's up?"

"Um, do you happen to have a pair of Sora's clothes? He's at my house right now taking a shower and he needs clean clothes."

Roxas nodded. "Yep. Come inside and I'll go get them."

"Thanks," she said as she walked inside his house.

 

Sora put the shampoo in his hair and began to spread it through. It was only then that he realized how greasy and oily it was. It was so disgusting. It felt so good to finally clean it again.

 

Kairi waited patiently as she watched Roxas take the steps two at a time to go get the clothes she needed. Roxas' house was warm and cozy and she looked around at the pictures on the wall. She smiled at one she saw of everyone together; Namine, Roxas, Sora, herself, and then Axel and Riku behind them. That was one day during the summer that they all spent together. It was a fun day.

Roxas came down the steps, Sora's clothes folded in his hand. "Here you go, Kairi."

Kairi smiled. "Thanks, Roxas. Appreciate it!" She opened the door and started going outside.

"Hey," Roxas called after her.

Kairi turned in curiosity. "Yes?"

"I saw the segment on the news. Be careful, okay?"

Kairi nodded. "Sure thing. Thanks again!" she said as she started running down the walk and back to her house.

 

Sora rinsed out the shampoo, grimacing as it went over his open wounds. He should probably clean those up before he went out; it was possible that it could alert people as to who he was. There, all the shampoo was out.

 

Kairi jogged down the street, turning again and heading back the way she came. Only another block and she'd be able to give Sora his clothes.

 

Sora shut off the water and grabbed a towel, drying off his face and body.

 

Kairi turned the corner on her street. She randomly looked behind her and then ahead again. Wait a second. Kairi turned her head again, looking down the street behind her. Her eyes widened as a police car started coming down the street. She made herself go faster. If they followed her, they'd find Sora. She was two houses away from hers when she looked back. The cruiser was closer this time. She pushed herself even harder, but the car was too fast. With a grunt, Kairi threw herself into the nearby bush, hopefully not getting noticed.

 

Sora stepped out and threw on his boxers. He wiped his hand on the mirror, making the steam disapear in that area. The eyes he stared into weren't the same eyes of the boy he had been a week ago. He shook his head, letting the thought drop.

 

Kairi waited, her heart racing. If she was caught, she was dead meat. She slowly looked through a small hole in the bush, looking for the car. It cruised by slowly, the cops looking left and right for anything suspicious. As she watched, her heart rate increased. They didn't catch her...yet. She watched them travel farther down the street and she didn't leave the bush until they turned down the street. With a sigh, she stood up and dusted herself off, Sora's clothes still in her arms. They weren't torn or stained. Kairi quickly walked into her house and shut the front door. "Sora!" she called. The girl went up the stairs.

 

Sora wrapped the towl around his chest and peeked his out the door. He saw Kairi coming up the stairs.

 

She smiled at him when she saw him. "You were right, Roxas did have some for you. Here." She handed the clothes to him. "I'll be in my room when you get done." Kairi turned and walked into her room.

 

"Thanks." Sora smiled and shut the door. He was thankful that Roxas had thrown in another pair of boxers. He took off his dirty ones and put on a clean outfit. He dried his hair with the towel a little and then walked out of the bathroom.
