KH- Fast Food Madness!

Kairi watched him disappear from the room. She didn't know what to say to him, to make him feel better. "I knew something like this would happen," she said quietly but angrily. She stared at the TV again, the screen black so she could see her reflection in it. She ground her teeth together. This was all so stupid! Why did Sora have to go through all of this?! The adrenaline pumping through her body, Kairi grabbed the remote and threw it at the TV, the batteries falling out of the remote and TV getting a small scratch on the screen.

 

Sora walked out the back door and shut the door behind him. It was a beautiful day. His expression turned to anger as he stared out into space. Why?! His life had just turned good for one moment, and now the police were coming after him?! It was too much! A person could only deal with so much. He sad down, leaning against the house. He pulled up his knees and hid his face as he cried.

 

Kairi crossed her arms, fed up with all this mess. It wasn't fair to anyone. Not to Sora, to her.... She was sure that anyone who loved Sora - whether it was as a friend, brother, or the way she loved him, more than any other person in the world - was infuriated if they watched the segment on television. Why would the police want Sora? Were they going to examine him like a science experiment too? The thought made her mad and the tears started to form from anger.

 

Sora felt another tear slide down his cheek. And then a scratching at his leg. He looked down and saw the cat. "Stupid cat," he muttered. "Go away." He pushed it away.

 

One tear slid down Kairi's cheek. She couldn't handle much more of this.

 

The cat continued to scratch at his leg. Sora shivered. That thing reminded him of a heartless. "Go away." He said again, pushing the cat harder.

 

Kairi whiped the tear away as she sat up and leaned forward, resting her elbows on her knees, her hands in her hair. All she wanted to do at that moment was to go and hold Sora close. But she knew he needed his space, so she stayed where she was.

 

Sora looked over at the cat again, even after it had left him alone. Those beaty yellow eyes continued to stare at him. A chill went through his body, a rememberance of what had happened that day. Riku...Kairi...himself. He didn't want to remember. He abruptly stood up and began to pace around in a small circle, his hands on his head.

 

Kairi ran her fingers through her hair once and clasped them together. She looked toward the direction Sora had left. She was hesitating.

 

The memories invaded. Kairi being hurt, Riku turning into Ansem again, and his two heartattacks. And then yesterday...the doctor, Kairi, the way the fraud pointed the gun at her. He was really after Sora though. Was he putting her in danger? Should he go turn himself in so there would be less risk for Kairi?

 

Kairi couldn't take it anymore. She stood up and went out of the room. She needed him to know that she was there for him, through anything. She wasn't going to stand down and let him stand alone.

 

No. He wouldn't do that. Couldn't do that. He hadn't done anything wrong! Why should he have to suffer because he was somehow invovled in this mess? He stopped pacing and sat down again, leaning against the house. He numbly noticed that the cat was gone.

 

Kairi passed by a window and saw something move. She walked over to the back door and opened it slowly.

 

Sora brought up his knees again and buried his face.

 

Kairi's eyes softened in sadness as she saw him. She quietly shut the door and approached him. Kairi knelt down beside him and put a hand on his head, running her hand through his spikes slowly.

OOC: Gotta go for the night. Bye.

 

Sora looked over at her, letting her run her hand through his hair. It felt good, having her comfort him like that.

OOC: I was just about to say I had to go too xD. See ya tommorrow.

 

Kairi stared at his sad eyes, noticing the tears trailing down his cheeks. Her eyes softened in care and concern. There was so so much she wished she could do for him. She wished she could just take this experience all away, everything about it, even the part where they declared their love for each other and shared their first kiss. As long as Sora was happy again, that's all that mattered to her.

She let her fingers run gently through his spikes again.

 

"Sorry for running away like that." Sora said softly, eyes quivering with sadness.

 

"Don't be," Kairi said quietly. He'd been going through way too much to be apologizing for anything. None of it was his fault, she knew that, and so did he.

 

Sora suddenly sniffled and wiped away his tears. "I'm sorry, I shouldn't be like this."
