KH- Fast Food Madness!

"A cat?" Kairi looked out the door and saw the yard empty of the any black cat. "I see. What'd you think it was?"

 

Sora shrugged. "I didn't know. That's why I went out to check."

 

"Right." Kairi bit her lip.

 

"Hey." Sora said softly, putting his hand on her shoulder. "What's wrong?"

 

Kairi stared into his blue orbs. "Nothing," she said.

 

"Kairi." He knew that she was lying. "Talk to me. Please."

 

Kairi couldn't look away. She could only stare at him. His eyes were like a magnetic force that had drawn her own eyes to his, and now she was stuck staring. She couldn't help it. Kairi was just so overwhelmed that he was alive and everything was okay. For a second it felt like her heart stopped beating.

But Kairi couldn't shake one feeling from her skin. She didn't want to tell Sora. He was just starting to recover from it all and the mention of it would only make things weird between them again. She couldn't do that.

 

Sora was confused. What wasn't Kairi telling him? Why did she look so sad all of a sudden? It almost felt as if a wall was being put up between them. Again. He was frustrated. All he could do was stare into the eyes of the girl he loved. And then, he leaned down and kissed her on the lips.

 

Kairi's heart skipped a beat when her lips suddenly met his. This was something she wasn't expecting, but definitely something she had been dreaming of.

 

Sora slowly backed away from the kiss, his eyes never leaving hers. "I love you."

 

Kairi stared into his ocean-blue eyes, studying them and his features. The vision suddenly started to blur and she smiled at him softly.

He'd said it.

He'd said the thing she'd been waiting so long to hear, but to also say. Her heart started racing. "I love you too, Sora," she said softly.

 

Sora smiled with relief, his heart leaping inside his chest. She loved him. She really...loved him.

 

Kairi giggled once, one tear falling from her eye in happiness.

 

Sora hugged her tightly, holding her head in his hand. His eyes were filling with tears too.

 

Kairi wrapped her arms tightly around him, burying her face in his shoulder. She couldn't believe it. He loved her. Sora...loved her.

 

Sora felt his heart rate go up again when Kairi returned his hug. He didn't care if he had another heart attack; there was no way he was going to ruin the moment that he waited years for.

 

Kairi leaned back, looking at his face just in front of hers while she kept her arms around him. She smiled and kissed him.

 

Sora's eyes widened a little. He hadn't expected her to kiss him. He wasn't used to the idea that she loved him. That would change eventually. He closed his eyes and savored the kiss.

 

Kairi felt his lips against hers and thought back to the time when she could only imagine the feeling. But now it was real. Kairi pulled back and blushed a bit. She was so overwhelmed she couldn't really control her impulses she knew were too soon. "Sorry," she said softly. She felt like she just ruined the moment, and she mentally cursed at herself.

 

Sora smiled. "Don't be." He motioned towards the living room. "Why don't we go watch some TV?" He needed a break from the intense emotions, and he could tell that she was feeling the same.
