KH- Fast Food Madness!

Kairi looked out the window. The sun was directly overhead, meaning it was noon. She wondered how things were going to be from here on out. The battle was over, and today was the first day of going back to normal. But with Sora's injuries and her own, not to mention emotional injuries, it was going to be pretty hard.

 

Sora looked out the window. Kairi had a beautiful backyard. Something moved. Huh? He could have sworn that he had seen something...But everything looked normal enough.

He shrugged it off and took another sip of his orange juice.

 

Kairi let out a sigh and looked at Sora. "I'm going to go take a shower. Make yourself at home," she said, getting up from her chair. She stopped and stood where she was. "...Unless, of course, you wanted to go ahead and go first?"

 

"No, you can go." Sora told her. He looked out the window again, hoping that he hadn't really seen anyone. He had a bad feeling in the pit of his stomach.

 

"Okay. I'll be back down in a few minutes," Kairi said slowly, looking at him for a second before walking out of the kitchen and up the stairs to the bathroom.

 

Sora nodded and continued to look out the window. There it was again. Something was definitly out there. Sora silently climbed out of his chair and walked out the back door, making sure that it shut softly behind him.

 

The water running, Kairi undressed and climbed in. She wet down her hair, taking in the warmth of the water. After a second, she poured some shampoo into her hand, then putting it in her hair.

 

Sora slowly walked through the grassy yard, looking back at the line of trees. Something black was out there. He silently walked up to the bushes and quickly opened them up. He was shocked to see who had been sneaking around.

 

Kairi rinsed the shampoo out of her hair and finished up her shower.

 

"Hey there, little guy." Sora whispered as he reached into the bushes and picked up an adorable black cat. "What're you doing back here?"

Kairi turned off the water and grabbed her towel, stepping out of the shower. She walked into her room to get her clothes.

Sora lift up the cat and looked at its neck. There was no collar. So it wasn't possibly Kairi's cat; she would have never risked letting it wander around without a nametag.

 

Kairi grabbed her pink dress and started drying herself off. After drying her hair with the towel, she got dressed, putting on her purple sneakers and fixing her hood. She combed through her hair, ruffling it a little bit. She sighed and walked out of her room and down stairs. Kairi went to the kitchen and saw that it was empty. She checked the living room. Empty. "Sora?" she called.

 

Sora walked back up to the house, the lonely cat still in his arms. He sat down the animal at the back door. "Stay." He ordered the cat as he slipped back inside the house.

 

Kairi looked around. Where was he? "Sora!" she hollered again.

 

"Back here!" Sora called, hearing Kairi call for him.

 

Kairi stopped at his voice, and followed it, walking to the back of her house. She saw him by the back door. "What were you doing?"

 

"I thought I saw something outside, so I went to check it out." He began to explain.

 

"Really?" Kairi started walking forward to look out the window. "What was it?"

 

Sora laughed. "It was a black cat! He was in the bushes back there. I brought him up to the back door." Sora opened the door. "See? Oh..." The cat was gone. "Well, he was there."
