"I'm thinking he did. Who else in this world would want to hurt Sora?" Axel didn't wait for an answer. "Nobody. Not even the Organization is after him anymore. It's gotta be connected to the robber...somehow."

 

"But how? And...why?" Kairi stared at them intently. This wasn't making any sense.

"You think we could get the robber's records from the jail? We could probably get a lead to his friend," Roxas said.

 

"The robber was probably ticked that he got arrested. Maybe he had a buddy who wanted to avenge him." Axel looked towards the ceiling, explaining his theory.

 

"So what are we supposed to do, guys?" Kairi glanced at both of them. "The longer we stand here, the more Sora is going to get hurt."

 

Axel nodded. "You're right, we don't have too much time." He turned to Roxas. "We'll have to look through those records later."

 

"Okay." Roxas unfolded his arms and got serious. "What first?"

 

"We need to find out what we're going into. We can't walk in there blind. Any ideas?" Axel asked the two teens.

 

Roxas looked at the floor in thought again.

Kairi looked at Axel. "As far as I know, they're taking desperate measures to keep Sora there. When I walked out I heard him scream and saw the shadows on the wall. It looked like they were forcing him to take something, probably something to make him weak and drowsy. They'll do what they can to keep anyone from seeing him and to make sure he doesn't leave, I'm sure."

 

"That's a start." Axel looked down. "But that makes our job even more challenging. How are we going to do this?"

 

"I have a feeling this is going to resort to violence," Roxas said slowly.

"You think we can take them on our own?" Kairi asked, imagining the three of them barging into the hospital, Roxas and Axel handling the guards while she went to help Sora.

 

Axel sighed. "I really don't know."

 

"I promised Sora I would get help," Kairi said. "He's counting on me. I can't let him down."

 

"I know, Kairi. But getting ourselves busted isn't going to help him."

 

Kairi nodded. She understood what Axel was saying, she just wanted to get to Sora as soon as she could. "If there are guards, they must know about what happened at the jail, which means they know we're stonger than we look."

"Meaning they won't go easy on us," Roxas finished for her. "We need to come up with a strategy, or else we're never going to pull this off."

 

Axel nodded. "You're right. This isn't going to be easy by any means."

Sora opened his eyes a crack and saw the familiar hospital room. He grunted as he forced himself to raise his head, which felt like it weighed a lot heavier than usual. His body was strapped down to the bed with three different belts. No wonder he couldn't move. He sighed and let his head flop back down on the pillow. He didn't like where this was going.

 

"So any plans of action, here?" Kairi asked. "Maybe we could gather up a few more people to help us out. I know Riku would want to help."

"I don't know," Roxas said. "We need to know what action the hospital will take when or if we barge in. I have a feeling the cops will be on their side, and we can only handle so much."

 

Axel snapped his fingers. "I've got it!" He began to pace as he explained his plan. "If one of us goes in undercover, maybe then we can find a way to get out the kid."

 

"Okay. But who?"

"The doctor's only seen you, Kairi, right?" Roxas asked.

"Yes. But Axel said undercover. Do you still think they'd recognize me?"

 

"Maybe if we made you look a little different. Like give you glasses and put your hair up?" Axel suggested. "I've got a feeling you could probably weasle the most information out of those lying, no good, rotten..." Axel trailed off, continuing with the insults.

OOC: I'm going to have to get off soon, but I'll be back in maybe an hour.

 

OOC: Okay.

"Maybe. But we'd have to hide the cuts on my leg, arm, and stomach. They'd recognize me if they saw them."

"Right." Roxas brought a hand to his chin in thought. "We could make this work."
