Kairi looked at the door. "I wonder when they'll give you your medicine. You probably want to get out of here."

Roxas crossed his arms, a smirk on his face. "Well, well. Guess things were okay after all."

 

OOC: I know, but I can't get it yet. I'm waiting on someone =/

"Yeah, totally." Sora nodded to Kairi, ignoring Roxas. He felt foolish enough without him making comments like that.

"I guess I'll be leaving now." Axel said, seeing he was no longer needed. He disapeared into a dark portal.

 

"Considering I'm not needed anymore," Roxas started as he walked toward the door, "I think it's best that I leave. I'll see you guys later."

Kairi waved. She sighed, turning her attention toward Sora again. She sat down next to him. "Everything's okay now," Kairi said relieved.

 

Sora struggled to move himself into a sitting position. "Yeah, almost." Sora grimaced when pain shot through his chest.

 

"Almost?" Kairi asked. "Are you okay?"

 

Sora smiled at her reassurringly. "I'm just still in a little pain. Nothing major."

 

Marluxia took up the flowers "Well if you dont want them fine. Just tell Xemnas I tried to do something nice. Maybe I'll give these to my special lady." Marluxia said as he left.

 

"You sure?" Kairi looked at him with concerned eyes.

 

Sora turned around a little, away from Kairi, so that he could put the pillows upright a little more. His face was twisted in pain as he made the move. He was glad Kairi couldn't see his face. "Yeah, I'm fine." He said as he leaned back into the pillows again, now sitting upright with their support.

 

Kairi eyed him suspiciously. If he was feeling pain, she didn't know why he just couldn't tell her. They were best friends, and during this experience probably developed into something more. She couldn't be sure, though. Sora could trust her, and she could trust him. Kairi hoped not to be proven wrong about that.

 

Sora saw Kairi eying him. She probably didn't completely beieve him, but he didn't want to worry her at all. His pain really wasn't that bad, just nagging and annoying. There was no reason to make her more concerned about it. He smiled at her.

 

Kairi smiled back, and then looked at his ocean-blue eyes. After a second, she had to look away. Staring was never a polite thing to do, especially during awkward silences.

 

Sora looked to the door and saw the doctor come back in.

"These are the pills that we are going to give you before you check out. You'll need to take one every six hours."

"When can I go?" Sora asked.

The doctor hesitated. "We need to keep you here for a few more days to make sure that everything is alright. We'll be giving you more medicine through your IVs, so you'll probably feel more drowsy." He lowered his voice. "And we want to watch you, to see how this medical miracle could have possibly happened."

"You're keeping me here to observe me?" Sora asked, shocked. "That doesn't seem right."

 

Kairi turned to Sora. "It's like you're their science experiment," she whispered. She looked back at the doctor, and eyed him carefully.

 

Sora nodded. That's exactly what he had been thinking. "Don't you need my approval to do something like that?"

The doctor looked down to the floor and didn't answer.

 

Kairi didn't know what was going on here, but she didn't like the feeling she was having.

 

The doctor looked up grimmly. "Either you stay willingly or we will tie you down." He threatened.

Sora looked at him with wide eyes, startled. He had no right to do that!

 

Kairi's jaw dropped. "What?"

 

"So it's up to you, Sora. We can do this the easy way or the hard way."

Sora took a hard swallow. What was he supposed to do?

 

Kairi turned her head to Sora. She was completely shocked. How did they have the right to do that?
