KH- Fast Food Madness!

Sora felt the tears trail down his cheeks. What was going on?!? He was so lost.

 

Kairi sat in the yellow car as the cab driver drove her toward the hospital, people passing by as they walked along the sidewalks.

 

Sora turned his head on his pillow, his breathing ragged.

 

In a moment, the cab pulled up in front of the hospital. Kairi pulled money out of her wallet and paid the driver before getting out of the car. She shut the door behind her and the cab pulled away, getting back onto the street as Kairi stared up at the building. She disliked this place, a lot. But Sora was inside, and she didn't want to be away from him, so she went inside.

 

The tears continued to fall as Sora's heartrate slowly started to increase, but he didn't notice it. He was most concerned about what was going on with him. Things weren't making sense. Why was his vision blurry? Why was his hearing muffled? Why was his head hurting so badly?

 

Kairi joined a few people in the elevator, hitting the button for the second floor. The doors closed and the elevator rose.

 

Sora's tears stopped flowing as he kept his eyes closed, his breathing becoming more ragged again.

 

In a minute, Kairi left the elevator and started walking down the hall to the room, crossing her arms over her coat as she walked.

 

Sora opened his eyes a crack and let them wander to the door, but he quickly shut them again, whimpering softly when he saw the bright lights.

 

Kairi sighed softly, reaching the door. She put her hand on the knob and pushed the door open, shutting it quietly behind her.

 

Sora's eyebrows came down slightly, but not for long. He didn't have much strength at all...and he had no idea why.

 

Kairi slipped off her coat and put it on one of the chairs in the room. She went over to the chair that was in the same spot that she'd left it in, and sat down.

 

Sora slowly opened his eyes a crack and noticed that someone had returned to the room, but he was still too dazed to comprehend more than that.

 

Kairi saw that Sora still wasn't moving from out of the corner of her eye as she stared down at her feet. She looked over, her eyes falling on his hand. She reached for it, taking it in hers gently as she closed her eyes and lowered her head. She began to bite her lip as the beeping of the monitors entered her ears.

 

"Kai," Sora whispered softly, his eyes closing again. He didn't need to see to know it was her; her gentle touch gave her away.

 

Kairi smiled at his voice, giving his hand a gentle squeeze.​

 

Sora's breathing was quiet but heavier than normal as he forced his hand to move, lightly squeezing her hand.

 

Kairi put her other hand on top of his and lifted it, bringing it to her lips.

 

A soft sigh escaped Sora's lips. He could feel Kairi, but he didn't have the strength to open his eyes. And he desperately wanted to see her...or at least hear her voice.

 

Kairi set his hand back down on the bed, not letting go of it. She started stroking his hand with her thumb, staring down at it as she did.
