KH- Fast Food Madness!

"Well..." Namine started softly. "I'm sure that Sora knows that you're still here. And that's probably helping him." She reasoned, not really as sure as she sounded.

 

Kairi flitted her eyes from Namine's to Sora's form. She didn't know for sure. Kairi sighed softly, a little stressed but also a little confused.

 

Namine bit her lip and looked at the clock. It was time for her to leave. "I have to go," she said softly, looked to Kairi and then Roxas.

 

"Are you sure you don't want company?" Kairi asked again, making sure that Namine was positive about going on her own.

Roxas turned his head slowly as he slept, a soft sigh escaping him.

 

Namine nod, her heels quietly hitting the floor as she walked towards the seats by the window, grabbing her winter coat and slipping it on over top of her dress.

 

Kairi nodded once. "Be careful," she said as she looked at the blonde.

 

Namine bit her lip and turned around, giving Kairi a sad smile before walking towards the door.

 

Kairi smiled slightly back, nodding at the girl as she went toward the door. She'd tell Roxas when he woke up where she went for a while.

 

Namine reached for the doorknob and silently turned it, letting herself out of the room as she started for the church.

 

Kairi sat back down in the chair next to Sora and Roxas' beds. She'd go home in a little while to freshen up.

 

Sora's heartbeat was slow and steady in his unconcious state.

 

Kairi pulled her knees up to her chest and wrapped her arms around them as she sat in the chair, staring off into space for a while, the boys still asleep.

 

Sora's index finger twitched slightly in his sleep.

 

Kairi continued to stare off into space, her eyes on her knees.

Sora heard the quiet sound of beeping fill his ears as he started regaining conciousness. A quiet groan left his lips as his eyes stayed closed.

 

Kairi pulled on a purple sweater as she got changed in her room. She'd waited a while for Sora to wake up, but was sad when he hadn't. So she came home, ate, took a shower, and was now getting ready to head back to the hospital. She flipped her hair back over the sweater and went downstairs, getting ready to put on her shoes.

 

Sora slowly opened his eyes, scanning the room. It looked different than it had before; everything was blurry...and it almost seemed as if the color had faded. But the bright lights had grown with intensity. He flinched and shut his eyes again, tears flooding his eyes. Was he in the same place he was before? He felt very dazed and confused, unsure about everything.

 

Kairi tied her shoes and pulled down her pant leg, standing up to grab her coat. After pulling it on, she walked out the door and headed for the hospital.

 

Sora slowly allowed his eyes to reopen, though he wasn't focused on what he was seeing. Something else wasn't right...the beeping sounded a lot softer than he had remembered. It was as if his hearing was muffled. He tried to lift up his head, but he let out a sharp cry when he felt pain, his head falling back into the pillow as he closed his eyes again.

 

Roxas turned his head at the sound, still sleeping lightly.
