KH- Fast Food Madness!

Namine turned her head and looked at Kairi for a moment before turning back to the window. She brought her hands together in front of her, her arms pretty straight.

 

Kairi stared out at the city. "Heading off soon?" she asked softly, turning her head to face her best friend.

 

Namine nod once. "Yeah, soon." She answered quietly, looking down at her hands.

 

Kairi nodded once, her lips forming a firm line as she looked down at her arms. "I'm sorry about your loss. If I knew my own grandparents, I'd feel the same way if it were them," she said softly. Kairi bit her lip.

 

Namine nodded slowly, unable to think of any words in response.

 

Kairi remembered how Roxas had been when his uncle had died. He was broken, torn. But they were all there for support, and it was unfair to Namine that she had to go alone. Roxas would go if he could, Kairi knew he would. And Sora...well, Sora wasn't in the best shape right now. Kairi turned around halfway and looked at the boy she loved more than anyone, his unconcious form on the bed. She bit her lip, thinking.

 

Namine took in a breath and turned around halfway, looking at Roxas. She really hoped that he would wake up before she had to leave, but she wouldn't force it. With her bad luck, he probably would stay asleep.

 

Kairi would go with Namine to the funeral if she found the strength to leave Sora's side for a little while. She always wanted to be next to him, as if their hearts were drawn to one another. Kairi walked away from the window and made her way across the room to Sora's bedside. She had her arms still crossed as she looked down at him, her eyes full of sorrow.

 

Namine let her light blue eyes follow her friend as Kairi went over to Sora's bedside. Namine silently walked over by her side and lightly put one arm on the redhead's shoulder.

 

Kairi turned her head and found Namine next to her, offering the blonde a weak smile before turning her head back down to see Sora. She closed her eyes when she got the feeling she was going to cry, not wanting tears to spill. She wanted better for him, so much better.

 

Namine shut her eyes halfway and gazed at the floor. The last time she had been in a hospital, it had ended with her grandfather's death. She prayed this time things would end better.

 

Kairi opened her eyes, having found the strength to push the tears away. She reached down and gently wrapped her hand around Sora's limp hand, biting her lip as she looked at his face.

 

Sora's finger twitched slightly.

 

As Kairi looked down at Sora, she held his hand in hers. She didn't want to leave his side, but Namine needed support right now with her loss. "Hey, Namine," she said quietly while she kept her eyes locked on Sora.

 

"Yeah?" Namine whispered softly, keeping her eyes lowered to the floor.

 

"Do you want me to come with you?" she asked softly. Nobody deserved to face death alone, and Kairi thought that Namine would feel a little better if one of her friends was there for support.

 

Namine slowly shook her head. "No, you're needed here." She said softly, fiddling with her folded hands.

 

Kairi shook her head sadly as she looked down at Sora. "I don't think my being here is doing anything..." Unless, somehow, she was shown that she was wanted or needed here. If not, she'd join Namine for support.

 

Namine lift her head and looked at Kairi, slightly shaking her head. "I think it is," she said quietly, her eyes gazing carefully at her friend.

 

Kairi let go of Sora's hand slowly, letting it rest back on the bed. She turned to her blonde friend. "How?" she asked quietly. Sora was unconcious, and she didn't know what she could do for him now. He could be out for a whole day...
