KH- Fast Food Madness!

Sora slowly opened his eyes, careful not to look at anything to bright. His eyes scanned the room, and he noticed that there were two blondes in the bed next to him. He lift his eyes to Roxas and gave his friend a confused, dazed look. Why did he always miss out on the significant stuff when he was sleeping?

 

Roxas met Sora's gaze and shook his head slightly, giving him a bit of a sad expression. Namine wasn't in here for a good reason, so it was a little of a bittersweet reunion for the two blondes.

 

Sora was only curious about when Namine had arrived, but when he saw Roxas' expression, he knew something was up. "What's wrong?" Sora whispered, careful not to wake either sleeping girl.

 

"Her grandfather passed away," Roxas said quietly. He bit his lip after he spoke.

 

"Oh," Sora's eyes softened as he looked at the sleeping girl. Poor Namine; first her boyfriend and friends end up in the hospital, and then her grandfather passes away. Sora never met the man, but he heard that they were very close. He looked at Namine sadly, silence filling the room again.

 

Roxas nodded slightly and looked down at the girl he loved so much. He slowly swept a few strands of her blonde hair out of her face before putting his hand back where it was before.

Kairi sighed softly through her nose, still asleep.

 

Sora shift his eyes to Kairi, saddened by the news. Was this what would always be happening to them? Death...pain...sadness. It seemed as if it would never end. He protectively held Kairi more tightly, somehow thinking that would protect her from pain and suffering.

Namine sighed softly at the touch, slowly waking up from her deep sleep.

 

Kairi's eyebrows furrowed slightly, but she relaxed back into Sora's form.

Roxas bit his lip as Namine started to gain conciousness. He hadn't meant to wake her.

 

Sora shut his eyes after a moment, relaxing.

Namine burried her head deeper into Roxas' chest, loving the comfort that it brought.

 

Roxas smiled softly and held Namine in his arms.

 

Namine smiled softly, feeling Roxas' arms still wrapped around her lovingly. She blinked slowly, still a little dazed from her nap.

 

Roxas planted a small kiss in Namine's blonde hair as he held her protectively in his arms.

 

Namine's smile grew slightly as she slowly moved herself out of Roxas' chest, daring to see what the world looked like now. Okay, so the hospital room wasn't the world. But still, it held uncertainty. But now...as she was in Roxas' arms, she was getting ready to face the real world again. She would have to in two days...at her grandpa's funeral. The thought made her smile fade.

 

Roxas loosened his grip slightly around Namine's form as she woke up. He watched her curiously.

 

Namine let her eyes wander, curious as to what was going on around her. But, it didn't look like she had missed anything. Kairi and Sora were still sitting up next to each other, looking very at peace. She imagined (or at least hoped) that's how she and Roxas looked. She wanted some peace and stability in her life again.

 

Roxas looked away from the girl and out the window, seeing the city outside the hospital walls. He hoped he'd be out of here soon, so he could be with Namine. And he hoped Sora would leave with him, that way he wasn't here alone.

 

Namine turned back to Roxas', but he wasn't looking at her. She smiled softly and wrapped her arms around his chest again, leaning her head lightly on his shoulder.

 

Blinking slowly, Roxas tightened his hold on Namine slightly, looking down at the beautiful girl. Then he looked back out the window at the stormy sky above, rain sure to approach soon enough.

 

Namine turned her head on his shoulder, facing towards the window as he did. The weather looked kind of bad, reflecting some of her sadness. She shivered slightly and held Roxas' a little tighter. She didn't want to think like that.

 

Roxas responded to Namine's shudder, holding her closer to him. She must've been thinking the same thing he was; the weather reflected everyone's mood. That seemed to happen sometimes, but it was nature, and he couldn't control it.
