OOC: I just took her xDD. I'll probably tell Roxas24Sora, but I'm sure he won't mind.

Namine cried as he held his hand. The last time she was in the hospital...with her grandfather, things hadn't turned out well. She couldn't handle anything else right now. She just couldn't.

 

OOC: Oh, I see. Yeah, he won't. He hardly ever visits this thread anyway.

Roxas was too out of it to realize what the noise he heard was, and the relaxation from the presence before lifted a little. No, he didn't want it to go away. He turned his hand over slowly and wrapped his hand around the one that was on his.

 

A sob escaped Namine's throat as she leaned over and lightly kissed Roxas' hand. She let out a shaky breath and laid her head down on the side of the bed, closing her eyes as her head rest next to their hands.

 

Roxas shifted slightly in his sleep, his hand gripping the one in his hand now a little tighter. He grunted a little when he moved the wrong way and hurt his leg again.

 

Namine bit her lip at the sound of his grunt as she shakily exhaled. She closed her eyes and tried to calm herself down, aware that Roxas' hand in hers was helping significantly.

 

As the pain subsided, Roxas sighed softly. His heart beat at a regular, calm pace as he slept, closer to waking up from his deep slumber.

 

Namine took in a few deep breaths and started to calm herself down, her breathing only a little more shaky than normal. But what was normal anymore? Her friends were hurt...and her grandfather was dead. The tears returned to her eyes at the thought.

 

Roxas exhaled quietly as the beeping of the monitor entered his ears, his senses coming back after his long time asleep.

 

Namine kept her head on the bed and shut her eyes, quietly letting out a breath as one tear fell onto the bed sheet.

 

Roxas felt something in his hand, something light and soft. He opened his eyes slowly, blinking a few times because of the lighting. Once his eyes adjusted, he looked over and his eyes found the source of the weight in his hand. It was another hand, but smaller. He followed to the source of the small grasp and his blue eyes widened. It couldn't be... "Namine?" he asked in disbelief, his voice quiet.

 

Namine slowly opened her eyes and wiped at her face with her free hand as she raised her head, looking at Roxas. "Hey," she said softly, avoiding looking directly into his eyes.

 

Roxas blinked again, still confused. "When did you get here?" he asked.

 

"Just a little while ago," Namine said softly, looking into his eyes for a moment and then gazing down at their hands.

 

When her light blue eyes met his, Roxas sensed something was wrong. "What's the matter?" he asked softly. He never liked to see her upset.

 

Namine bit her lip and blinked slowly. "I'm sorry I wasn't here earlier. I should have come." She said softly, figuring that the first thing Roxas deserved was a huge apology.

 

Roxas shook his head. "You don't have to apologize for anything, Namine," he assured her. "You didn't know."

 

Namine bit down harder on her lip and felt the tears spring to her eyes again. Could she even say it aloud? She never had before, not to anybody. She wasn't willing to accept it, even if she knew it was the truth. Her grandfather wasn't coming back.

 

Roxas' eyes softened and his lips parted slightly. He'd never seen Namine so upset before. "Nami, don't be sad," he said softly.

 

Namine blinked, desperatly holding back the tears. "My grandpa died." She whispered, big, sloppy tears falling from her eyes as she stared down at the bed.

 

Roxas' eyes softened, his expression showing anguish and sorrow. "Namine," he said quietly, slowly. He gripped her hand tighter. "I'm sorry," he said softly, giving her hand a gentle squeeze.
