KH- Fast Food Madness!

The color began to return to Sora's face. He took a deep breath and looked over at Kairi. He offered her a small smile.

 

Kairi giggled in relief. She smiled at him softly, her eyes welling up in tears.

 

Sora reached over and grabbed her hand, trying to make her feel like everything was alright.

 

She smiled again, squeezing his hand. Then her smile faded as she fought to hold back the tears that wanted to escape her eyes. She let one small giggle slip, and then one tear fell down her cheek.

 

The doctor reentered the room. He put a hand on Kairi's shoulder. "Can I have a word alone with the young man?"

 

Kairi nodded, and looked back at Sora, squeezing his hand before leaving the room.

 

"I'm sorry to interupt, but I need to check on you to make sure that you're alright, and I want to hear about the incident."

Sora nodded and began to tell the doctor about the shooting.

"Did you get hit anywhere else?"

Sora thought back and put a hand to his head. It was sticky. Blood.

The doctor nodded and checked on the head wound. "It's as I thought. A bullet grazed your head. I'm sorry, but we need to get you into surgery right away."

Sora's eyes widened. Surgery? "How serious is it?"

"I don't know yet." The doctor left to get some nurses.

 

Kairi sat in a chair outside of the room and waited, biting her lip.

 

The doctor came in with four other nurses. They rolled Sora's bed out and towards the ER.

 

Kairi stood up as Sora's lying figure passed by. Worry covered her face. "..Sora?"

 

"It'll be alright." He called to Kairi right before they went into the ER.

 

Kairi's lip quivered. Everything just kept getting worse for Sora. It wasn't fair. She ran a hand through her red hair and sat back down, not knowing what else to do but sit and wait. That's all she could do.

Some time later, Sora woke up in hospital bed. Again. Man, he was getting sick of these surgeries. He put his hand to his head. It was bandaged up.

 

Kairi had fallen asleep in the chair outside of the room. Scenes from the incident piled into her dream, and her face crumpled up in pain of the memory.

Sora opened his eyes. He was alone. But not for long. The doctor came into the room again.

"The surgery went very well," he stated. "There was no serious trama done by that bullet. You're perfectly fine."

Sora let out a sigh of relief.

OOC: Yes, he's still available.

 

"Sora..." Kairi whispered, still in Dreamland. The images of his piercing blue eyes looking at her when she was so scared, the gun to her head. It seemed like his heart was breaking, and it in turn made hers want to fall apart.

A tear fell from her closed eye, traveling down her cheek.
