KH- Fast Food Madness!

Sora's hand stayed in a fist by his head, tightening a little in his sleep.

"I think he's waking up," Sora heard a soft, female voice speak as he got his senses back. Sora groaned softly and opened his eyes, seeing three figures standing above him, all looking very worried.

"Are you okay?" Kairi asked, her voice full of concern.

Sora silently nod and lift his head off the ground see he could see them all better. "How long was I out?" He asked, feeling pain in the back of his head.

"Just a few moments," Namine answered, her voice very soft.

Sora used his hands to prop himself into a sitting position and the two girls backed up. The brunette turned his head to Roxas and saw his friend silently offer him a hand. Sora gratefully took it and shakily returned to his feet, blinking off the momentary pain.

"You okay?" Roxas asked, staring deeply into Sora's eyes.

Sora nod and gave his friend a sheepish smile. "I guess that's what I get for showing off." He awkwardly ran a hand through his hair and was relieved to hear Roxas' chuckle, helping to break through the tension. Sora's smile turned into a grin as he continued to feel foolish. "Pride comes before the fall" was the expression that perfectly described this moment.

 

But Kairi noticed something. Sora's knuckles, they were white. And his hand was in a fist, apparently a tight fist. She was concerned about what exactly was wrong.

 

Sora sighed softly and let his fist loosen a little as his dream started coming to an end.

OOC: I may disapear at any moment and then never come back. (For tonight, anyway xP)

 

Kairi bit her lip. It was his ring, after all. She had no right to keep it.

Sora's fist came completely undone as he rolled off his stomach and onto his other side, his hand by his side as his sleeping form faced Roxas.

 

Kairi smiled and shook her head. She'd wait until he rolled back over. If she got out of her bed and walked over to the other side of his just to put his ring on, she'd be more likely to get caught.

 

A small sigh escaped Sora's lips while he slept deeply.

 

Kairi looked over the two boys' sleeping forms. They seemed at peace. Good, she thought. They went through a lot. They need their rest. I guess I'm up by myself for a little while... Kairi looked back down at the ring and started staring at it again, her mind drifting off to space.

 

Sora's eyebrows went down in frustration as he rolled over onto his other side again in discomfort. Laying on his right side was still pretty painful, and that pain had started waking him up. He frowned slightly and let himself fall back into his deep slumber.

 

Kairi looked up. Well, there was her cue. The redhead tucked her hair behind her ear before pulling away her covers, letting her bare feet touch the cold floor. She pushed herself up slowly, the ring in her hand as she walked toward Sora's bed.

 

Sora's hand curled into a fist again as he slept, some part of him still feeling the pain from when he had laid on his injured sighed.

 

Kairi bit her lip as she saw Sora's eyebrows still furrowed and his fist clenched in what seemed like pain. She sat down slowly on the side of the bed, making sure not to wake him. If his fist was clenched, she couldn't put his ring back on. Kairi looked at him and gently started running her fingertips along his forehead, hoping to calm him enough so she could slip the ring back on.

 

Sora let out a quiet breath in his sleep, his tense muscles relaxing a little bit at the gentle touch.

 

Kairi then looked down at Sora's fist. It was still tight, and she didn't want to have to force it so she could slip the ring on his finger. She continued stroking his head as she placed her smaller hand on his fist.

 

A soft sigh escaped Sora's lips as he continued to relax, his fist starting to come undone under the light pressure that rest on top of it.

 

Kairi smiled softly as she looked down on him. Sora seemed at peace when he rested now. And she was happy to see that, even if it was a little bit. She started stroking his hand with her thumb lightly. If he just let it open a bit more..

 

In his slumber, Sora turned his hand and wrapped it gently around the one that had previously been stroking his. He smiled faintly and exhaled.

 

Kairi smiled. "That's not fair," she said very quietly, so quietly she didn't wake him.

 

Sora tilt his head a little on his pillow, his heart beating at a calm, relaxed pace.

 

Kairi couldn't help but smile slightly. Sora was at peace while he slept, and she loved having him escape his pain.
