KH- Fast Food Madness!

Sora's coughing slowly subsided and he quietly gasped for breath, his chest on fire from the force behind his coughs. He relaxed into the pillow and kept his eyes shut.

 

Roxas wondered what places were out there. "Any ideas of where you would go?" he asked softly.

 

Sora opened his eyes a crack and slowly turned his head towards Roxas. "I would say the beach, but that wouldn't work too well since it's the middle of winter." Sora thought aloud, his voice slow and drifting.

 

Roxas bit his lip at that. "Ah, you're right..." He forgot about that part. Well, there had to be other places that weren't as chaotic or dangerous as the city.

 

"So that's really my only idea," Sora said quietly. "I want to get away from the city for a while though."

 

"Yeah," Roxas said softly. "After everything, I can understand."

 

Sora shook his head softly. "Too much has happened." He whispered quietly, shutting his eyes halfway as his head started to throb again from talking.

 

Roxas nodded in agreement. Roxas hadn't dealt with that much, but his two friends had. They were the ones that really needed to get away from the chaos for a while.

 

Sora fully opened his eyes again and stared at the ceiling. He wanted to do something special for Kairi after it was all over. She had gone through so much with him. He had to make it up to her somehow.

 

Roxas turned his head and looked down at his hand, tracing circles in the sheets as he took in a breath. They'd be out of here soon, especially since Santa Claus had healed half of their injuries.

 

Was Kairi still asleep? Sora turned his head on his pillow and felt his eyes soften when he saw her sleeping form. Gosh, he loved her so much. Why did she have to go through so much with him? Was it just his destiny to always be in so much danger. He sighed softly and turned back to the ceiling.

 

Roxas closed his eyes. The only thing to do was sleep, and he was bored out of his mind.

 

Sora thought for a moment. Why was it that Kairi and Roxas never seemed to be awake at the same time? It seemed like Sora was only getting half the ammount of sleep as they were for some reason...

 

Roxas started thinking about the summer, when everything had been all right. All four of them, Sora, Kairi, Roxas, and Namine, all hung out at the beach almost every day. It was fun, and he wished he could do it again.

 

Sora weakly shut his eyes. He was kind of tired, but he didn't think he could sleep. It was the silence that was making him so sleepy. Or maybe it was the medicine. Or both.

 

Roxas turned his head toward the window and let the warm rays of the sun touch his face. It helped him get more comfortable.

 

Sora let out a soft sigh and drift out of conciousness.

 

Roxas sighed quietly as he got more relaxed and comfortable, the warm rays and silence causing him to fall asleep in a few minutes.

Kairi sighed softly, turning over in her bed and facing the wall as she continued her deep slumber.

Roxas' head was tilted toward the window as he slept, his heart monitor beating in a regular rhythm.
