KH- Fast Food Madness!

Sora sighed softly and brought one hand up to his head, rubbing his temple. Thinking and staring for so long made his head hurt more. He really had to stop doing that. He frowned a little and shut his eyes.

 

Kairi started to wonder what would happen next. She hated thinking about the future, because it seemed so much scarier than the present. But the present wasn't that good of a time either, so what was she supposed to do? Think about the past? Her recent past was full of pain, just like now. Kairi nibbled on her lip. Were things ever going to lighten up?

 

Sora opened his eyes a crack and stared down at his arm. It hurt, but not as badly as his head. He started feeling anger. Where was his doctor? Why didn't he bring the medicine like he promised? Didn't he realize how much pain Sora was in?

 

Kairi blinked. What was happening to her? Why was she think so negatively? She never used to be like this! She used to think good, happy, optimistic things. Had these experiences really changed her that much? And for what--better...or worse?

 

Sora shut his eyes again and turned his head on the pillow, his closed eyes facing in Kairi's direction. The lights hurt his head too much; keeping them shut made him feel a tiny bit better.

 

Kairi brought a hand to her head, closing her eyes. She shouldn't think like that. It would only make things seem worse. She sighed softly, her eyes now staying closed. She could feel her senses starting to go off on her. She was losing conciousness, something she didn't want to do. But she couldn't help it now, and her heart sped up a little from her fear starting to grow on her. If she went back to that dream...

 

"Hey, are you okay?" Sora asked softly after he had opened his eyes and seen Kairi. Something didn't quite seem right. Was she in pain? Was something wrong?

 

His voice rang through her ears, and Kairi twitched slightly. Sora's voice seemed to bring her back a little, but her eyes wouldn't open, and she couldn't find her voice.

 

"Kai," Sora whispered quietly, watching her with half closed eyes. Was she already asleep?

 

Kairi furrowed her eyebrows slightly. Sora was trying to talk to her, but she didn't know if she could respond. If she wanted to stay awake and spare a few minutes from the nightmare, she had to say something. "Mm?" she murmered, a little relieved that she found her voice.

 

"You okay?" Sora asked again, his voice very quiet and gentle.

 

Kairi exhaled softly, and then opened her eyes a little, seeing Sora's looking at her. She shook her head slightly. "Not really," she admitted gently. She didn't want to worry him, but they had promised there would be no more walls between them.

 

Sora's soft eyes filled with worry and anxiety. "What's wrong?" He asked quietly, opening his eyes completely as he looked at her.

 

Kairi gazed at his worried eyes. "...I'm scared," she said softly.

 

"Why? There's nothing to be afriad of." Sora spoke softly, his eyes carefully looking into Kairi's bright blue.

 

"Remember before?" Kairi asked gently, referring to the time when she had her nightmare. "When I was asleep?"

 

Sora nod once, starting to understand. "Yes."

 

Kairi shook her head slightly and looked at the floor. "I don't want that to happen again," she said, her voice soft.

 

"It won't," Sora reassured her softly, his eyes still gazing into hers even though she had looked away.

 

Kairi flitted her eyes back to his. She hoped he was right, but she was still uneasy about it.
