KH- Fast Food Madness!

Sora clamped his eyes tighter and felt them fill with tears. His head hurt so, so badly! He didn't know that a headache could be so fierce.

 

Kairi sobbed and brought her hand away from her eyes to her neck where her injury should have been. She just needed to make sure it didn't happen, and that it really was gone. That dream was too real to think any different.

 

Sora slowly opened his bright blue eyes and let them fall on Kairi, feeling his heart break at her sobs. "Kai," Sora said softly, looking over at the red head.

 

Kairi let her cold hand stay on her neck, afraid to pull it away in case the burning came back somehow. She sucked in a breath and looked over at the voice, her violet-blue orbs finding Sora's bright blue. A tear left her eye among many and trailed down her cheek.

 

Sora blinked at her tears, really wishing he could hold her in his arms and make them stop. Maybe he could. He would try to do something, anyway. He grunt softly and winced as he started moving in his bed, getting ready to lift himself out and go over to Kairi. He took in a deep breath and bit his lip as his legs fell over the side of the bed. His arm burned as if it was on fire, and he let out a small whimper.

 

Kairi shook her head as she watched him, her hands going out toward him, motioning for him to stop. "No, Sora, don't," she said. He couldn't take a risk like that.

 

Sora bit his lip, Kairi's words entering his ears. Even normally soothing voice made his head explode in pain. He shift his eyes down to the floor, obeying Kairi's command.

 

Kairi placed her elbow on her knees and brought her hand to her forehead, closing her eyes. Her heart monitor had gone down a little, but her heart rate was still a little faster than normal. She had to calm herself down.

 

Sora shut his eyes and sighed sadly. He hated seeing Kairi like this, and there was nothing he could do about it this time. She wouldn't let him get out of bed to help her, and his head hurt too much for him to really talk or anything. What was he supposed to do?

 

Kairi's wet eyelashes tickled her cheeks and she opened them again, looking down at the sheets covering her. She exhaled slowly, trying to bring her heart rate down. As real as that dream felt, it didn't happen again, so she had nothing to worry about. She just had to relax. Sora and Roxas were okay, and so was she.

 

Sora opened his eyes all the way and looked up at Kairi, but he didn't see her clearly. In fact, it felt like the whole room was spinning. He frowned and shut his eyes, slowly putting his legs back up onto the bed and letting his aching head fall into the pillow.

 

Kairi turned her head, moving her hand to the side of her head now as she looked across the two beds. While Sora was lying down, she saw Roxas looking at both of them with concerned eyes. "Sorry," she said softly, giving him a weak smile.

Roxas nodded once and smiled faintly before lowering himself back down slowly.

 

"You okay?" Sora asked, opening his eyes halfway and turning his head towards Kairi.

 

Kairi nodded slightly. "Just a bad dream..." She bit her lip at the thought of it and closed her eyes again. She didn't want to go back to sleep now, too afraid that dream would continue.

 

Sora nod once and shut his eyes again, his head still feeling very fuzzy and hurting as badly as ever.

 

Kairi leaned back, resting her head on her pillow again. She turned over, her back to Sora and Roxas as she stared at the wall next to her. She'd be doing this for a while, too afraid to go back to sleep.

 

Sora let out a breath, feeling himself fading away from conciousness. Good. Anything to get rid of the pain.

 

Roxas closed his eyes, biting his lip as he started thinking. When were they going to be able to leave? Roxas understood that he and Sora would be in here longer than Kairi, they had bigger injuries.

Kairi stared blankly at the white wall, the only noise in the room being their monitors. She decided to start listening to them to get her mind off her nightmare.

 

Sora let out a quiet sigh and fell asleep, finally escaping his pain for a little bit of time.

 

Kairi blinked from staring for so long, her ears picking up the beat from all of the monitors. She snapped out of it when she heard a voice.

"Hey, Kairi?" Roxas asked softly.

"Yes?" she said, not turning over.

"Do you think they'll let you go?" Roxas wondered aloud. "I mean, your scars are healed, right?"

Kairi shrugged slightly. "Suprisingly, and miraculously, yes...they're gone. But I don't know if they'll let me go or not." She thought for a moment...She didn't want to leave them both. Kairi would rather be in a bed along with them than be the healthy one and be released. She had done that once, and the whole time she thought she was causing Sora more pain, thinking he wanted to be free as well. She wouldn't go through that again; she didn't want to.
