KH- Fast Food Madness!

"I'll survive," Sora answered, giving his friend a weak smile. "What...about you? Are you okay?"

 

Roxas smiled faintly, and nodded. "Surprisingly...nothing else...hurts. It's only...my leg." Roxas coughed suddenly, and it cleared his throat.

 

Sora smiled faintly. "You can thank...Santa...for that. He cured us all...a little bit. All...our scars...should be gone." Sora shut his eyes for a moment, exhausted from speaking those simple, short sentences.

 

What? Who? Roxas furrowed his eyebrows slightly. "...Santa?" he repeated.

 

Sora chuckled softly. "It's a long story." His chuckle turned into a nasty cough, and his body shook with each individual cough.

 

Roxas nodded and turned his head back so he was staring at the ceiling again. That would explain why there were no scars or bruises.

 

Sora's coughing ended as he bit down on his lip, forcing himself to keep quiet. Underneath his closed eyelids, an infinite number of tears hovered. But he couldn't afford to be weak. Not right now. He had to be strong for his friends.

 

Roxas suddenly remembered one more person that should've been with them. Kairi. He'd seen her as they left the restaurant and were escorted to the ambulance. What had happened to her? Was she okay?

 

Sora felt a tear of pain slide down his cheek, but he was unable to wipe it away; he couldn't move his arms because they felt so extemely heavy. He quietly let out a breath and bit his lip harder.

 

Roxas sighed softly, but then quickly sucked in a breath as he felt a cough coming. In a few seconds, his coughing fit quit and he closed his eyes.

 

Sora let his bite go, partly because of exhaustion and party because it was causing him more pain. He tasted blood in his mouth. Great; he had bitten down too hard.

 

"And Kairi?" Roxas asked slowly, softly as his eyes stayed closed. "She's okay, too?"

 

Sora nod, but then he realized that Roxas probably had his eyes closed. "Yeah...she's right over here." Sora motioned towards her bed with his head.

 

Roxas opened his eyes and turned his head, now noticing the third bed in the room. They were all together. He was relieved. Being apart and lonely didn't sound like much fun right now.

 

Sora sighed softly and curled his hand into a fist. Why did his head hurt so badly?! At that moment, he remembered how many times he had been thrown up against the wall or other things and hit his hit. He groaned softly and squeezed his eyes shut tighter.

 

Roxas turned his head back and stared at the ceiling for a moment. All that hurt was his leg, but his muscles were still a bit weak, not entirely though. Santa...He must've done a good job healing them all, especially Sora. He was in worse shape than all of three of them.

Kairi turned her head groggily, and an alarm went off in her mind that she shouldn't do that because of her cut. She instinctively winced, squeezing her eyes shut tighter in response. But the pain never came. Kairi opened her eyes slowly, a little confused. She blinked a few times to adjust to the lighting.

 

Yes, Santa had healed their scars and bruises, but his magic didn't fix whatever head injury he had or his shoulder or arm. And of course those three were still causing a decent amount of pain. Sora let out a breath and let his head sink back into the pillow, dozing off.

 

Roxas sighed softly, trying to relax while he could.

Kairi opened her eyes fully, seeing that it was dark outside the window next to her. It must be late. She flitted her eyes to her arm, lifting it up weakly. Her eyes widened when the gash that had been in her arm was gone. "What...?" She didn't understand.

 

Sora's head turned onto it's side, facing Kairi as he started losing conciousness again.

 

Kairi brought her hand slowly to her neck in curiosity. She prepared for the pain, but again, it never came. She didn't feel any cuts or scars either. How was that? There was no way they could disappear overnight like that... She turned her head to her left, her eyes falling on Sora.
