KH- Fast Food Madness!

Sora nod in agreement. "I'm going to go look out front," he state as he walked out the kitchen and towards the front door.

 

Kairi glanced at him as he left over her shoulder and then turned her attention back to the window in front of her. She looked up at the sky, happy to see that it was blue today, and that the sun was out.

 

Sora walked up to the front door and opened it. Sure enough, the sidewalks did look better. But were they actually less icy? He figured he should step outside and check for himself.

 

It'd be nice to get out into the fresh air and walk around for a bit, but if the sidewalks were still icy, it wouldn't be worth getting hurt over. Kairi knew that.

 

Sora took a few steps outside, leaving the door open a crack as he did. The first few steps were fine, but he didn't remember them being a problem earler.

 

Kairi glanced over her shoulder, curious as to if Sora was coming back. When she didn't see him coming, she turned back around and glanced out the window again.

 

Sora took a few more cautious steps onto the sidewalk, thankful that his shoes were very warm and had pretty good grip. "Whoa," he said, sliding on one part of the sidewalk.

 

Kairi didn't really see any change outside the window. She turned around and went to see if Sora had seen any difference.

 

Sora put out an arm to balance himself, but it wasn't enough. He was in control enough to control his fall, though. He landed on one knee and stayed that way, thankful that he hadn't fallen on his arm again. Still, it was too icy to do much walking.

 

Kairi walked toward the living room, suddenly feeling a cool breeze as she got closer. That was strange. She felt the cold breeze hit her skin again, and she looked into the direction it was coming from.

 

Sora put a hand on the ground and slowly lift himself back onto his feet.

 

Kairi arched a brow when she saw the front door cracked open. She walked over to it, pulling on the knob as she opened it a little more. She saw Sora standing on the sidewalk, and she arched her brow again. "What are you doing?" she asked in curiosity.

 

Sora turned around quickly, slipping a little on the ice as he did. He hadn't expected Kairi to be there, and her voice had surpised him. "Just checking on how things are," he answered as he started back towards the house.

 

Kairi looked around, particularly at the sidewalks. "Are the sidewalks any better?" she asked as Sora started coming back.

 

Sora shook his head and came up to the door. "They're better, but still not good."

 

Kairi frowned slightly as she backed away from the door so he could get in. "That's too bad," she said.

 

"Yeah," Sora said softly in agreement as he walked past Kairi and in through the doorway.

 

Kairi shut the door once he was inside. Darn, she was really hoping to get some fresh air.

 

Sora shivered once, cold from the air outside. "What now?" He asked, having no ideas about anything.

 

Kairi shook her head. "Not sure," she admitted.
