KH- Fast Food Madness!

Sora moved his one hand and lightly used it run over Kairi's red hair, the room mostly silent now.

 

Kairi's sobs had stopped, and now only her sniffles were heard as tears left her eyes, fewer coming every minute or so.

 

Sora pulled his hand back and laid it on his lap, regretful that he couldn't hold it up anymore. It hurt too much to have it elevated that long.

 

Kairi sniffled and wiped away a few tears running down her face. Her eyes stayed closed as she tried to get them to leave completely.

 

Sora bit his lip at the sound of her sniffling, shutting his eyes in sadness.

 

Kairi swept her hair that covered her face away lightly. It'd gotten wet from her tears and had been sticking to her face.

 

It hurt him so badly to see Kairi sad like this, but he knew that she had to cry it out. Losing someone you loved was never an easy experience. He had never actually known anyone close to him that had died; a lot of his family had actually died when he was really little or wasn't alive yet. So he had no idea what Kairi was feeling right now, and it hurt that he had no idea how to comfort her.

 

Kairi remembered when Sora had asked something about her grandmother's story about a year ago. That had been her grandmother's story about Light and Darkness, when she and Kairi had been together. She'd been too little to actually understand it, but her grandmother was really wise. She must've known something was going to happen...that would tear them apart.

 

The situation was horrible in Sora's eyes. Kairi was upset, and that was making him upset. And he didn't see any way to remedy that.

 

That thought made Kairi sad, and she didn't want to start crying again. She bit her lip as she squeezed her eyes shut, trying to push that thought away.

 

Sora bit his lip and opened his eyes a crack, staring down at the floor. Why had Santa given her that gift? Didn't he know it would upset her? Sora didn't understand.

 

Kairi relaxed a little, nestling into Sora. She closed her eyes as she took in a deep breath, it being a little shaky.

 

Sora let his one arm around Kairi loosen a little bit, relieved to feel her relaxing again.

 

Kairi exhaled a slow, shaky breath, opening her eyes slightly. Her eyelashes were still a little wet from her tears, but she was better.

 

Sora was feeling very upset now as Kairi's sadness continued. Why had Santa given her a gift that would make her so sad? Even though Sora knew it wasn't the gift itself that was making her sad, it started this whole thing.

 

Kairi bit her lip as she stared at the wall a little farther from the couch. She was glad Sora was here with her. His comfort meant a lot to her.

Sora shook his a little and let out a very quiet sigh. He had no reason to be mad at Santa, really. He hadn't meant to cause this. Sora was just trying to find someone to blame, to make himself feel better.

Kairi wished she could thank Santa Claus for her grandmother's pin. It was a very nice gift, something she always kind of wanted. She never really had anything to remember her grandmother by, but Santa brought it to her.

Sora bit his lip and looked down at the floor.

 

OOC: Haha, yeah. xD I used to love that show. I wonder what happened to it. =/

Kairi flitted her eyes up, catching a little of Sora's face within her sight. She wondered what was wrong, but she didn't ask any questions. But she did say one thing. "Thank you, Sora."
