KH- Fast Food Madness!

"Yeah, I wouldn't have noticed him if something didn't wake me up in the middle of the night." Sora explained. "I think he wanted me to see him this year."

 

"Really?" Kairi asked, curious now. "Why do you think that?"

 

"Because I needed something to help me out," Sora said softly, biting his lip as he looked down at the ground.

 

Kairi furrowed her brows slightly as she stared at her feet. Maybe that was something she missed.

 

"I needed a miracle," Sora said softly, looking down at his feet. "And he gave me one." A weak smile made its way onto his face.

 

Kairi bit her lip. "A miracle, huh?"

 

Sora silently nod and shift his eyes to the tree again.

 

Kairi didn't question it anymore. That had been something she missed, but it was none of her business to begin with. She actually started to feel a little bad about listening in on it. She should've just went back to bed.

 

Sora blinked and weakly smiled at the tree. He had gotten back a part of himself that he had lost; surely Kairi had noticed it. He didn't need to say anything else. He would answer her questions if she asked, but for now, he enjoyed the silence.

 

Kairi felt a little ashamed. She should've respected Sora's privacy. But she didn't, and she couldn't believe she hadn't. She looked down at her feet and nibbled on her lip. If she could go back to last night, she would, just so that didn't happen and she wouldn't feel so awful about disrespecting Sora. Or Santa, for that matter.

 

"Speaking of Santa..." Sora trailed off and walked towards the tree. He reached down and picked up the small square box that Santa had given him and carried it over to Kairi. "He said he wanted you to have this," Sora sate as he sat down beside her and held out the box. He had no idea that Santa had put in Kairi's Grandmother's favorite pin in the box. The only thing that he knew was that he was supposed to give it to Kairi.

 

Kairi glanced at the box and then gave Sora a curious look. She gently took it from his hand, a little confused as to what could be in the box. She hadn't really asked for anything, so she didn't really understand what could have been inside the small package. Kairi tucked her hair behind her ear, staring at the gift for a second in hesitation. She carefully lifted the lid of the box, revealing the present inside. "Oh my God," she gasped, bringing her hand to her mouth when she saw the crystal pin.

 

Sora looked into the box and was curious when he saw a crystal pin. He didn't understand why it would cause Kairi to react so strangely. He stayed silent and looked down at the gift.

 

Kairi felt tears well up in her eyes as she looked at the pin. She brought her hand from her mouth and gently picked the pin up from its case, holding it carefully in her hands. She suddenly thought of her grandmother, flashbacks of the few moments she remembered she'd spent with her grandmother reeling through her mind.

 

Now that he saw the tears appear in her eyes, Sora was even more curious about whatever the gift was. The pin must have been important to her...somehow.

 

Kairi stared at the crystal pin in awe. "This...was my grandmother's," she said, her voice suddenly shaky. She blinked, and a tear trailed down the side of her face.

 

Sora bit his lip at the sight of her tear and silently wrapped an arm around her shoulders.

OOC: I'm off for the night, bye!

 

Kairi couldn't tear her eyes away from the pin. "From what I can remember," she started slowly, her voice still shaky, "she wore it everyday..." Kairi bit her lip, feeling her lip start to quiver as another tear fell from her eye.

Sora smiled faintly and began to gently rub her arm. He could only imagine what she was feeling at that moment; his grandparents had died before he could ever meet them. She must have felt so happy that she had something that was so precious to her grandmother.

 

Kairi couldn't figure out how Santa had gotten a hold of it. She hadn't seen her grandmother in a little over ten years, or at least that's how long she figured. She missed her greatly, and now that she had one of her most prized possessions, she was slightly overwhelmed. It showed as another tear escaped her eye as she bit her lip. Kairi was so happy that she had something of her grandmother's, but it also made her sad at the same time.
