KH- Fast Food Madness!

Sora's eyes came open and he smiled softly when he heard the first sentence. And then, when he heard and saw that she had a gift for him, he felt odd. Kairi didn't need to get him anything, and he wanted to tell her that much. He brought his head forward and spoke. "Kai, you didn't have to get me anything." Sora said softly, gazing at the gift.

 

Kairi smiled softly. "I wanted to," she said.

 

Sora returned her smile and spoke again, his voice very gentle and honest. "You've already given me everything I want for Christmas." He told her quietly, a small smile on his face.

 

Kairi kept her eyes on him, a little confused. "And what's that?" she asked, curious.

 

Sora thought for a moment, not really sure how he could put it all into words. Kairi had given him so much lately. "You've been here for me throughout this whole thing, even at the worst of it." Sora said softly, looking down at his lap. "I can never thank you enough for that. Or for loving me, even when it's hard."

 

Kairi smiled softly. "Of course, Sora." She looked at him. "If you love someone, you never give up on them." Kairi looked down at the gift in her hands and smiled again. She loved him too much to ever give up on him, and she wouldn't dare think of it.

 

Sora looked up at her and gave her a grateful smile, unable to find words to express how thankful he was to have her in his life.

 

Kairi smiled back at him lovingly. Then she looked down at the gift in her lap, and she held it up. "Please?" she asked as she looked at him.

 

Sora smiled softly as he looked into her eyes. "Okay," he gave in, reaching out for the small box and bringing it back to his lap, staring at it as he held it in both hands.

 

Kairi smiled softly and watched him, waiting for his reaction.

 

Sora slowly unwrapped the box, holding in his right hand and using his left hand to pull off the wrapping paper.

 

Kairi remembered how the clerk at the store had asked her if she wanted to engrave something on the inside of the ring. She'd agreed to it and chose something to go along with the description of the ring that was on the inside the box.

 

With the wrapping paper gone, Sora gingerly opened up the box and saw a stunning silver ring and a note. He curiously picked it up and read it.

"With no beginning and no end, this Celtic Love knot ring represents infinity and the unending love that binds two people."

Sora felt tears fill his eyes as he stared at the piece of paper.

 

Kairi smiled softly as she watched Sora. She couldn't forget what she'd had engraved on the inside of the ring. "Forever and a day" was something that popped into her head after the clerk had asked, and she hoped Sora would see it.

 

Sora set down the paper and reached on hand inside the box, pulling out the ring. The outside design immediatly got his attention, but then something on the inside caught his eye. He curiously turned the ring as he read the words, tears threatening to overflow as he bit his lip.

 

Kairi smiled slightly as she watched Sora intently, wondering what was running through his mind.

 

"Thanks, Kairi." Sora said softly, slipping the ring onto his finger.

OOC: Gotta go for now, may be back later tonight.

 

Kairi smiled softly. "You're welcome," she replied.

OOC: Alright. See you later!

 

Sora looked down at his hand and noticed that the ring fit perfectly, and it truely was beautiful.

 

Kairi was happy that the gift worked out. Even though he said she didn't have to give him anything, she'd wanted to. And the same went for Sora; he didn't have to get her anything either. As long as she could be with him, she didn't need anything else.
