KH- Fast Food Madness!

Sora opened his eyes partway and watched Kairi sadly. He hated worrying her like this. Hopefully, though, there wasn't a reason to worry. With a soft grunt, Sora shift his body and used his good arm to slide his coat off completely.

 

Once his coat was off, Kairi hesitated. She didn't know whether he should take his sling off so the ice could treat his arm or not.

 

Sora noticed her hesitation and immediatly knew what she was thinking. He silently unhooked his sling and let his right arm slowly fall onto the couch.

 

Kairi bit her lip and gently laid the pack of ice on Sora's arm.

 

Sora drew in a sharp breath and looked away, that one tiny touch causing a lot of pain.

 

Kairi pulled the ice pack away immediately. "Sorry," she said, worry etched on her features.

 

Sora nod, turning his head and opening his eyes as he looked into her worried eyes. "It's alright."

 

Kairi stared at him sadly. It upset her that he had to deal with this, especially today.

 

"You can put it back on," Sora said softly, motioning to his arm with his head.

 

Kairi didn't want to hurt him again, and she hesitated as she looked down at Sora's arm. Kairi then bit her lip, gently laying the ice pack back on his arm.

 

A soft whimper escaped Sora's lips before he could do anything about it. He bit his lip and looked down into his lap.

 

Kairi squeezed her eyes shut at his pain. She felt really bad causing him pain like this.

 

Sora slowly let his bite weaken as he grew more accustumed to the pain.

 

Kairi opened her eyes and stared down at the ice pack she was holding on Sora's arm. She took in a breath quietly as she closed her eyes, trying to relax. But she couldn't when she knew she was causing Sora pain.

 

"It's okay," Sora said softly, feeling the tension in the room. "It needs to be done."

 

Kairi nodded. "I know," she said so quietly it was almost a whisper, her voice shaking a little.

 

Sora turned his head and gave Kairi a weak smile. "It's okay," he said again, wishing he could have prevented this from happening.

 

Kairi looked up at him and smiled faintly. She just wanted Sora to be rid of pain. He had it either physically or emotionally, and she didn't want that for him.

 

Sora let his eyes drift down to the icepack. "I can hold it for a while," Sora said as he gently put his hand over Kairi's and the icepack.

 

Kairi nodded and gently slid her hand out from underneath his, her hand cold from the ice pack.
