KH- Fast Food Madness!

Sora's hand shook as he put it on the door knob and turned, thankful that he had actually left it unlocked for once.

 

Kairi exhaled softly, seeing her breath flow out in front of her.

 

Sora pushed the door open and silently walked inside, warmth rushing to his skin.

 

Kairi followed behind Sora, stepping inside and shutting the door behind her. She sighed softly, relieved they were finally inside.

 

Sora walked into the living room and stopped when he was a few steps in, looking down at his feet as he bit his lip. His arm hurt really, really bad, but he wasn't sure what to do about it.

 

Kairi blinked, watching Sora with concerned eyes. Why did he have to deal with everything? She just didn't understand it.

 

Sora shut his eyes and let out a shaky sigh, one tear escaping his eye and dropping onto the carpet. His arm was throbbing so, so much.

 

Kairi bit her lip in uncertainty, and slowly walked up to him, lightly placing her hand on his good shoulder.

 

Sora bit his lip harder and stood still, really not sure about what to do.

 

Kairi stared at him with concerned eyes. "You should probably sit down and relax," she suggested softly.

 

Sora nod, only lifting his head a tiny bit as he forced his legs to carry him to the couch.

 

While Sora went to sit down, Kairi turned around and walked over to the door, slipping her shoes off and taking off her coat, gloves, and hat.

 

Sora lowered himself on the couch and slowly let his back fall against the back of the chair. He winced and shut his eyes as his arm tapped the cushioned back.

 

Kairi took a few steps into the living room and looked at Sora. "Do you want some ice for your arm?" she asked.

 

Sora swallowed hard and nod once, not opening his eyes.

 

Kairi headed for the kitchen without a word. She found a kitchen towel hung up in the room and she grabbed it before going to the fridge to get the ice.

 

Sora leaned his head into the back of the couch, feeling one tear slide down his cheek. He bit his lip even harder and thought he tasted blood.

 

Kairi opened the freezer and was relieved when she found an ice pack ready to be used. It was luck, and she knew it, but she'd take it. She grabbed the ice pack and shut the fridge door, picking up the towel and wrapping it around the ice pack so it wouldn't be too cold to hold.

 

Sora opened his mouth and let out a shaky sigh. How could something have happened AGAIN? It was so frustrating. Fortunatly for him, the pain was distracting him from feeling too much of that frustration.

 

Kairi walked into the living room, the ice pack in her hand. She approached Sora at the couch and silently sat down next to him. Sora still had his coat on, but she gently lifted the part of his coat that was over his injured arm out of the way, making sure not to hurt him.
