KH- Fast Food Madness!

Sora quickly followed Kairi out, not wanting to let too much cold air into Roxas' house.

 

Kairi slowly started down the path from Roxas' front door, glancing behind her as she waited for Sora.

 

Sora shift his coat a little bit as the cold air hit his face, looking down at his feet as he walked.

 

Kairi walked alongside him, seeing her breath from the cold weather. It'd been nice to see Roxas after everything.

 

Sora felt his feet sliding under him as he walked, even though he was being very careful. The sidewalks were almost worse now than they had been when they had walked over.

 

Kairi felt one of her feet slip, but she caught herself. She'd forgotten about the ice on the ground, like last night. She didn't want to re-live that moment.

 

Sora looked ahead, thankful that he only lived a few blocks away from Roxas. The sooner they got off these icy sidewalks, the better.

 

Kairi decided to look down at her feet as she walked, that way she'd have a better chance of not falling.

 

Sora looked down again just in time to miss a big ice spot. This was almost like a game. A game that nobody wanted to play, anyway. Avoid the ice or fall flat on your butt. Not his idea of fun, especially with Kairi's gift in his back pocket and only one arm to catch himself with.

 

Kairi carefully walked, afraid she'd fall again. "This is dangerous," she spoke, breaking the silence as she watched where she walked.

 

Sora nod once. "Yeah, it's more icy than I remembered." Sora state, keeping his head down.

 

Kairi bit her lip as she walked carefully. She didn't risk a glance up, afraid she'd fall again. She hoped they were close to Sora's. She hated walking in this junk.

 

Sora glanced up for a second and saw that they were only one block away from his house. He quietly let out a breath, thankful that they were almost home.

 

Kairi continued to nibble on her lip as she walked alongside Sora, watching her feet. She just wanted to get away from the ice.

 

Another minute and they'd both be at his house, safe and sound. Sora bit his lip in relief and nervousness. Something could still go wrong in that short amount of time.

 

Risking a glance, Kairi saw Sora's house not too far ahead. She looked down and watched her feet again as she got closer to safety. This ice thing was ridiculous.

 

Sora's eyes widened when he felt both his feet sliding on the ice. He quickly threw one arm forward to help balance himself, but it wasn't enough. He gasped as he felt himself fall to the right, landing on his right arm with a loud thud.

 

Kairi's eyes widened and she stopped, planting her feet so she wouldn't fall too. "Sora, are you alright?" she asked as she slowly took a step forward so she could see if he was alright.

 

Sora bit his lip and shut his eyes tightly, holding back tears. He silently nod one time.

 

Kairi attempted to get down on her knees, but as she leaned forward, she lost balance under one of her feet, and she landed on one knee. Well, at least the attempt actually happened. Kairi bit her lip as she put a hand down on the ground. "Sora," she said softly, but her voice had a frantic edge to it.
