KH- Fast Food Madness!

Sora smiled softly at Kairi as he rose from his seat. "I'll be right back, okay?"

 

"Alright." Kairi turned on the faucet and started cleaning the plates.

 

Sora made a left out the kitchen door and walked down the hall, towards his bedroom. As much as he hated to recognize that he had to wear a sling, he still knew that he really did have to wear a sling. He really didn't want to do anymore damage to his arm or shoulder wound.

 

After washing off the plates, Kairi turned the water off and ran a hand through her hair, sighing softly. She flipped her hair back over her shoulders.

 

Sora reached down into his pants pocket and pulled out the folded sling. He stopped and set it down on the bed, thinking he should probably get dressed first. He smiled faintly and pulled out his normal shirt and a pair of jeans. Sora knew that jeans would be warmer than his normal pants. He shut his bedroom door and started to get changed.

 

Kairi turned and leaned against the counter. She reached into her pocket and pulled out her cell phone, checking the time. It was around 10:30 in the morning. She flipped the phone shut and stuck it back in her pant pocket. Kairi walked over to the nearest window to check the streets. If they were clear, she could walk home, get new clothes and get Sora's gift, and then come back.

 

Once his clothes were on, Sora wrapped the sling around his neck and gingerly stuck his arm inside. He looked down and sighed softly, but after a second, a small smile appeared on his face. It could be much, much worse. He realised that now, and was thankful that he only had to wear a sling. Using his good arm, he silently opened his bedroom door and walked into the hallway.

 

Kairi looked out the window, and smiled slightly in relief. The snowplow had come by earlier that morning and cleared the roads. She could go home and get the gift and then come back.

 

Sora walked through the hall until he saw Kairi, who was standing at the window. He quietly walked up and stood beside her, also gazing out the window. Relief flood his body as he saw the now-clean NYC streets.

 

Kairi bit her lip as she stared out the window, seeing Sora out of the corner of her eye. She wondered when she should go.

 

"What're you thinking?" Sora asked, breaking the silence as he gazed out the window.

 

"Well, remember how I forgot something yesterday?" Kairi asked as she stared at the snow. "I need to go get it, but I don't really want to leave." She smiled slightly.

 

Sora smiled softly and nod, remembering that she had said something about that last night. "Why don't we walk together?" He smiled as he gave her the idea.

 

Kairi turned her head to look at Sora. She smiled slightly. "Alright," she said softly.

 

Sora smiled down at her. "You want to go right now?" He asked the red head.

 

Kairi decided that it'd be better to go now than later, possibly when the snow started to fall again. "Mm-hm," she said with a nod.

 

"Okay." Sora nod. "I'll just go get my coat." He quietly excused himself from the room.

OOC: Gotta go for a bit, be back soon.

 

Kairi nodded. She needed to change anyway. Her jeans and long sleeve shirt would be warmer than Sora's T-shirt and sweatpants. She followed him out of the room and walked down the hall to change really quick.

OOC: Okay.

 

After a few minutes, Sora was fully dressed in his winter coat and hat. He stood in the living room and silently looked out the window, relieved to see that things didn't look too icy today.

 

Kairi quickly undressed and put on her clothes, flipping her hair out of her shirt once she had it on. She put her phone in her back pocket and grabbed the clothes Sora had let her borrow. She walked across to the laundry room and put them in the dirty hamper before walking back out into the hallway.
