KH- Fast Food Madness!

Sora brought his eyes back down to the gift in his hand. He smiled softly and placed it under the tree with a few other boxes that Santa had brought. He would give it to her when she woke up in the morning.

 

Kairi bit her lip and turned around, silently walking down the hall back to the guest bedroom. A small smile made its way across her lips as she approached the door and walked in, closing it quietly behind her.

 

Sora looked at the Christmas tree and smiled. Santa...he had really been here. And he had given Sora the best gift he could have possibly given: happieness. And he had given him a Christmas Miracle.

 

Kairi crawled back into the bed and laid her head down on the pillow. She closed her eyes, her smile still on her face. She'd wait and see what Christmas morning had in store for her. In a few seconds, her smile planted on her lips, Kairi left conciousness.

 

Sora blinked and suddenly felt extremely drowsy, almost as if he could collapse right there. Sora gasped softly and took a step back to regain his balance. He stumbled to the couch and laid down, resting his head on one of the pillows that had been by the arm of the chair. He sighed softly and shut his eyes, falling asleep with a faint smile planted on his lips.

Kairi rolled over, her eyes opening drowsily from her sleep. The sun was shining through the windows of the room, making it bright which caused her to squint. She blinked a few times to adjust to the light before smiling when she realized that it was Christmas day. Kairi slowly pushed herself up and swung her legs over the edge of the bed, reaching into her back pocket to grab her cell phone. She flipped it open and noticed the time: 9:48 A.M.

 

Sora shut his eyes tighter when sunlight filled the room. He groaned and rolled over on the couch, using one arm to cover his head. In the back of his mind, he noticed that he wasn't in his room. But he wasn't awake enough to take that in.

 

Kairi stood up and slid her cell phone into the pocket of Sora's pants. She walked toward the window and looked outside, but she had to squint because the sun was reflecting off of the white snow on the ground. She turned around and walked toward the door, opening it, and walking out into the hall to see if Sora was awake.

 

Sora rolled over again, becoming more concious. Why wasn't he in his room? Why in the world would he fall asleep on the couch? How had he even gotten there? He couldn't remember. He blinked several times, trying to shake of the grogginess.

 

Kairi was about to go see if Sora was still asleep in his room, but she saw that his door was wide open and that he wasn't in his bed. Kairi continued down the hall curiously, wondering if he'd stayed in the living room after last night.

 

Sora moved into a sitting position, grunting softly. His tired eyes looked around and finally landed on the clock. It was almost 10 AM. He leaned forward in his seat and put his elbows on his knees. Then, he rest his head in his hands, trying to remember what had happened that made him fall asleep on the couch.

 

Kairi peeked around the corner into the living room, and then walked around it. She smiled softly when she saw Sora awake. But he still looked tired.

 

It was at that moment when he remembered what had happened. The noise. Santa. The gift. His Christmas Miracle. Sora sighed softly and leaned back into the couch, smiling at the memory. He closed his eyes.

 

Kairi smiled softly and leaned against the wall like she had done last night. "Good morning," she greeted, her voice having a hint of happiness.

 

Sora jumped a little, opening his eyes at the sound of Kairi's voice. He quickly turned his head and looked over at the red head. "Good morning," he smiled.

 

Kairi giggled slightly. "I hope I didn't scare you," she said softly.
