KH- Fast Food Madness!

OOC: I'm actually getting off for tonight, so Sora will be asleep for a little while.

Since we're not at work anymore, Kairi can wear her normal outfit.

Okay, cool.

 

Merlin had got a call from the doctor saying Sora would not be able to work for a while. "What should I do now I'm one employee short, and Sora was one of my best ones. Who will I get to temporary take his place here?"

 

After Roxas had explained everything to the police, and the robber was taken to jail, he went inside the attacked restaurant. He walked over to Merlin. "How's he holdin' up?"

Kairi was able to catch a cab and went to her house to change into her normal attire. Sora was on her mind the whole way there, and she wanted to cry because of what happened to him.

 

What....Oh Sora, the doctor said that because Sora is a tough fighter he was able to survive the shot, but hes going to have to rest at the hospital for some time. Roxas would you like to take Sora's place as cashier just until Sora recovers and can come back.

 

Roxas was happy to hear the news, and that Sora was going to be okay. He scratched his head at the last question. "Umm...." He looked over at the Burger King. "I don't know. I'll have to ask the guys about it."

 

"Please do this if you can.I don't know anyone else to ask for the job. You will be paid more than your current job there and you get to work with Kairi and Namine." Merlin pleaded to Roxas

 

Riku finally returned to McDonalds which was almost vacant except for Merlin and Roxas who were standing inside. No one else was anywhere in sight, and some of the tables and chairs were knocked over.
"Um...what did I miss?" Riku said, a little worried.

 

Goofy cautiously stepped into McDonalds. Last weeks events were really scary. He was reluctant to come to work again. Earlier, he dropped by the hospital to see how Sora was doing and when he saw that he was still sleeping, Goofy just left the cards and balloons in his room. He was planning on seeing him later if he could. He walked past Riku to the kitchen. "Morning Riku," he said quietly. His cheerfulness kind of left him for a while.

Jack Skellington continued to flipped patties and looked down at them. He sighed. "I hope that doesn't happen at this place," he said with a frown. "Maybe I'll go drop by the hospital and say hi to Sora today." He smiled at the thought and flipped the patty over.

Demyx continued to mop the floor at Burger King, cleaning up a small mess on the floor.

 

"Hey Goofy..." Riku said, surprised to not see Goofy being cheerful like he always was. "What's wrong? Where is everyone?"

 

Goofy looked up at Riku. "Oh, well we had a robbery. Sora got a bullet wound, and is in the hospital, but the doctors say that he's going to be okay." He rubbed under his nose with his finger to get rid of an itch. Then he lowered it.

 

"Now everybody I know that were all feeling down about what happen, but if Sora was here he whould probably tell all of us that we have to stay positive and keep on doing are jobs while having a fun time and.....Oh I'm going to miss that lad." said Merlin as he walked back to his office.

"Can I be told again why we need to visit Sora in the hospital." said Maluxia after he had seen the sign on the bulletin board.

Tron was sad that he wasn't able to help Sora he decided he was going to visit Sora as soon as passable, if he didn't get in trouble for leaving the restaurant.
Maybe he and the other employees could do something nice for their friend Sora.

 

Riku suddenly turned pale and felt a bit dizzy.
"I...I...gotta go..." he said rushing into the janitor's closet.
There, he lay down on the ground, thoughts racing through his head. He remembered the man wearing all black who had rushed right past him towards McDonalds.
I could have stopped him... Riku thought to himself, banging his head against the shelf. This is my fault, and no one knows it.
Riku groaned and clutched his head in his hands. How would he be able to face everyone after this?

 

Roxas ended up working Sora's shifts, alongside Namine and the others until he got better. He was sure the others at his original workplace understood. He went by everyday after work, his or McDonald's, to see Sora, but he was always sleeping when he showed up. Kairi was always there too, clutching Sora's hand protectively in hers and laying her head against the bed, asleep as well. She had to be exhausted, and so torn.

Kairi didn't come in to work for a while, still shook up by the incident. She was at the hospital the whole time Sora was there, not leaving his side and always holding his hand in hers. The only time the girl ever left was to take a shower, use the bathroom, eat, or change her clothes. Kairi didn't dare think she was to be anywhere else, because her heart kept her here, next to the one person she cared for most. Sora.

 

Finally, as time passed, Riku couldn't take it anymore and went to the hospital. He burst into the hospital room to see Sora laying on the bed and Kairi holding his hand.
"It's my fault!" he said, slamming the door behind him. "I'm sorry."

 

Kairi jerked awake, her head looking up at the booming sound of the voice. "Wha..." Her eyes widened. "Riku. What are you talking about? And please be quiet, he's trying to rest."

 

Riku knelt down next to Kairi and spoke to her in a whisper.
"The man who shot him..." he said, not daring to look her in the eyes. "He past by me when I snuck out. I could have stopped him. Or, I could have at least not snuck out and been there to help Sora. This is my fault. I'm sorry."

 

Kairi stared at the side of Riku's face as he looked away from her. She was speechless. Riku had seen the man? This caught her a little off guard, but she just kept her eyes locked on him. "Riku, it's not your fault. Nobody knew it was going to happen. Don't blame yourself." She turned to look at Sora's sleeping face, he looked peaceful. "Everything happens for a reason. There was no way you could've known it was him, or what he was doing. Don't apologize, and don't blame yourself. The doctors said Sora will recover in a little while. He's going to be fine."

 

"It doesn't matter." Riku said, getting up and walking towards the door. "I let you guys down again. I'm gonna make it up to you."
He left the room, then exited the hospital.

 

"No. Riku..." she started, but he was already gone. She sighed, flitting her eyes to Sora's sleeping form. Kairi smiled at him slightly, and then gripped his hand tighter in hers.
