KH- Fast Food Madness!

Sora changed to the next picture and chuckled softly. He had Roxas in a headlock and was looking down at him with a silly grin as he ruffled the blonde's hair.

 

Kairi looked up at Sora after she saw what picture it was. She was surprised by his chuckle, but she smiled softly all the same. She loved his chuckle, and it was great to hear it, even just for a second.

 

Sora bit his lip and the smile fade a little bit. He had been so goofy back then without even thinking about it. Not thinking sounded like a good idea at the moment.

 

Kairi looked away though when she saw the smile fade on Sora's lips. It bothered her when sadness took over.

 

Sora shook away the thoughts and looked at the next picture. Wait, it wasn't from McDonalds that day, was it? He couldn't remember at all.

 

Kairi looked up from the floor and at Sora's hands. Thinking about being upset would only make her upset, and she didn't want that.

 

Sora blinked when he remembered what had happened. After going to McDonalds, Sora, Kairi, Roxas and Namine had gone for a walk in the park. And since it was spring, it was a fairly nice day. They had taken the picture by the big oak tree that they always used to climb around on. All of them had their arms linked together in friendship. And then, after that picture, Sora had said that they should all skip around just for the heck of it, and Roxas was forced to because Namine and Kairi thought it was a good idea. In the end, they had all had a lot of fun with that.

 

Kairi bit her lip as she stared at the picture in his hands. It must've been in the spring because of the leaves coming back on the tree in the picture. Then she remembered it was the Oak they all loved. All four of them had been really close those days, with their arms linked and the smiles planted on their faces.

 

Sora stared hard at the boy in the picture with sadness and pity. That boy there had no idea who he was going to become today. He had no idea about anything that was going to happen. But then again, maybe things were better that way.

 

Kairi looked up at Sora's face. The expression he had automatically made her eyes soften. She didn't like the sadness of his eyes. Kairi flitted her eyes away from his, looking back at the picture instead.

 

Childish things like that were all he really did back then. Sure, he had serious moments, but nothing like he had lately. If he could somehow go back and find out what he was possibly thinking at those moments, well, maybe it would help him understand what to do next. But of course, things like that couldn't happen. Ever.

 

Kairi nibbled on her lip as she studied her hands in her lap. She'd give anything to go back.

 

Sora set the picture aside and shook his head. He'd look at it again later.

 

Kairi looked up and bit her lip again. What exactly was Sora trying to do with the pictures? Remember something maybe?

 

Sora flipped through a few more pictures, but nothing really impact him. He sighed softly. Maybe it really was hopeless...

 

Whatever Sora was doing, Kairi noticed that it'd made him happy for a second or two. It must've been working somehow if he was doing that. "Don't give up," she said softly.

 

Sora turned his head and looked at Kairi, gratefully giving her a small smile.

 

Kairi smiled slightly back, giving a slight nod for him to continue.

 

Sora picked up a new stack of pictures and looked through. They were from a random day over the summer, when he and Kairi had spent a day at the beach with the others.

 

Kairi gazed at the pictures in Sora's hands, memories suddenly flashing back from that day at the beach.
