KH- Fast Food Madness!

Sora simply stared at the picture, and at him old self. Faith. That's what he was missing. Faith that one day, everything would turn out okay. His head recognized that fact, but his heart didn't. But how did he get that childlike faith back?

 

Kairi didn't say anything, but didn't look away either. She didn't know what was going on, but she knew what picture Sora was holding. That had to mean something, she just didn't know what.

 

Sora blinked. The picture had opened up something to him. It wasn't everything he was looking for, but it was a start. "I'll find him again," he muttered softly. "Somehow."

 

Kairi narrowed her eyes slightly in confusion and concern. She didn't know what was going on.

 

"Somehow, I'll find him again." Sora said more loudly, gingerly putting the picture back in its place.

 

"Find who?" Kairi asked, letting her hands drop, her elbows still resting on her knees.

 

"Myself," Sora said more softly, looking down at his feet after he answered.

 

Kairi kept her eyes on him, but didn't say anything. Whatever Sora suddenly discovered, she wasn't going to say anything that would push it away.

 

Sora lift his head and walk out of the living room and into the hallway. In the hall closet, there was a box of pictures that he had taken over the past few years. If one picture showed him a piece of who he used to be, maybe he could piece it all together with the tons of pictures he had in storage.

 

Kairi was concerned but she stayed silent when Sora left the room. Instead, she relaxed. Kairi brought her feet up on the couch and curled into a ball as she leaned against the arm of the couch.

 

Sora opened up the closet and took out the heavy box, his arms sagging a little when he realized how heavy it really was. If this wouldn't help him, nothing would. He silently shut the door and walked back out into the living room.

 

Kairi arched a brow slightly when she saw the box. What was that?

 

Sora leaned over and set the box down onto the carpet. Then he sat down in front of the box and prepared to sort through this and hopefully make some progress.

 

Kairi threw her feet over the couch and sat up straight, her hands on the edge of the seat cushions.

 

Sora pulled out one envelope and took out the pictures. He immediatly recognized them. It was a picture of Sora, Kairi, and Namine in front of the McDonalds. It had been their first day at work, and they had all agreed that taking a picture would help them remember the good memories that would surely occur at that place.

 

Kairi slowly got up and approached Sora. She knelt down next to him and looked at his face, and then at the picture. A small smile appeared on her lips but then it faded when she remembered what happened at that place.

 

The three of them had promised that they would only let good things happen there. That was a promise that none of them could keep that day, though. Sora shook his head sadly and flipped to the next picture. Kairi was sitting on Sora's shoulders and pointing over the huge McDonalds' sign. Sora smiled faintly at the memory.

 

Kairi looked at that next picture Sora flipped to. She smiled at the picture of her on Sora's shoulders. She was being goofy that day.

 

Sora flipped to the next picture and his smile grew a tiny bit. Roxas had literarily run into Sora and Kairi a second after that other picture and Sora had to run a few steps to catch his balance to make sure that Kairi didn't fall off his shoulders. He was thankful that he eventually regained his balance and got revenge on Roxas for almost hurting Kairi.

 

The smile stayed on Kairi's face as she looked at the next picture. Roxas was a blurry image in this picture, only because he ran into Sora. She shook her head slightly at the thought. Roxas was crazy sometimes.
