KH- Fast Food Madness!

Kairi surprised herself with how fast she was running. She never remembered running this fast before. His house came into view, and she could see that his lights were still on...but that probably didn't mean anything.

 

Sora's tears eventually stopped falling. Or maybe they were just being absorbed into the pillow. That was probably it.

 

Kairi got closer, close enough to see the Christmas tree in the window. As she ran, she wasn't looking at the ground and missed the ice patch that had been on the sidewalk. Her feet came out from underneath her. "Agh!" she squealed, and grunted when she landed on her back.

 

Sora let out a ragged breath and burried his head deeper into the pillow, feeling very depressed and alone. He wasn't really alive anymore. At least, he didn't feel alive. How could someone with a heart feel so empty?

 

Kairi shook it off. She stood up, groaning slightly. She rubbed her back but let it go. Accidents happen, I suppose. Kairi hurried forward, running across the path to Sora's front door. She ran up the steps and grabbed hold of the door handle, relieved when she realized it was unlocked. She pushed the front door open. "Sora?"

 

Sora lift his head out of the pillow a tiny bit when he heard his name. He numbly wondered who would stop in so late on Christmas Eve, and then he remembered what had happened earler. That was probably Kairi, but Sora didn't have a voice to answer. He turned his head on the pillow and faced against the back of the couch, the blankets around him covering everything except his head.

 

Kairi didn't bother taking off her shoes and went straight into the living room, her eyes finding him on the couch. "Sora..." She started walking toward the couch.

 

Sora blinked and felt the tears return to his eyes, but he refused to let them fall.

 

Kairi approached him at the couch. "Sora," she said softly, bending over, trying to find his face.

 

Sora bit his lip and stayed silent. He really didn't have anything to say.

 

Kairi sighed and leaned back. "All right, I understand if you don't want to talk to me. But just listen, okay?" She bit her lip, looking down at her gloved fingers as she messed with them nervously.

 

Sora nod into his pillow. It wasn't that he didn't want to talk to her, he just didn't want to talk at all. He was too miserable.

 

I would love to be Auron, Yuffie, and Zexion, please!!

 

OOC: Uh, it's a little late to be joining, considering this thread has over 4000 posts. This thread really has nothing to do with fast food anymore. I guess that you can join if you want to, but it'd be pretty awkward if you did...=/

 

Kairi bit her lip before speaking. "About what happened a while ago...I'm sorry. I know I was harsh..and rude. I didn't mean to be." She looked down at her feet. "I shouldn't have gotten so upset. I just miss the way things used to be between us..."

 

Sora sniffled softly. I miss it too, he thought saddly.

Yuffie walked around town. Wasn't sje suppose to meet kairi here? Mabye htat was next week. She didn't know, her memory wasn't to good. "Mabye I should call her." She said aloud. Yuffie dailed her number and listen as her phone rang.

 

OOC: I really hate to say this, but like I said, it'll be kind of awkward if your characters suddenly jump in. And I really don't feel like giving a recap for 4000 posts or anything like that, so it'll be even more weird if you don't know what's going on with the story...=(

 

Kairi felt a sudden vibration in her pocket. Her cell phone. She ignored it though. She was in the middle of something. "Well, everything I said...I shouldn't have said it in the first place. I'll understand if you don't want to talk for a while, and that's fine. I just..." Kairi closed her eyes and brought a hand to her forehead. She didn't know how to explain what she was feeling.

 

Sora bit his lip and nodded into his pillow, letting Kairi know that he was still with her. At least, he was "awake" by definition. He wasn't sure if he was really "living" though.
