KH- Fast Food Madness!

Kairi took in a breath and then opened her eyes, looking at him. He was cold, she could tell. He'd walked out without his coat, and his sling was off. Kairi looked away quickly, her eyes falling on the other side of the street. She'd told the doctor she'd take care of him, but now look at him.

 

Sora felt another tear slide down his cheek, escaping from his closed eyes. This time, he didn't bother wiping it away.

 

Kairi flitted her eyes back to him, and her lips parted slightly when she saw his tear. No...she'd done this. She'd made Sora...cry. Kairi closed her eyes in disgust and regret, her eyebrows furrowing slightly. She couldn't believe this...

 

Sora opened his eyes and kept his eyes looking at the ground, another tear dropping from his eye and crashing onto the frozen sidewalk. Sora sniffled as another gust of cold air ran into him.

 

Kairi opened her eyes when the wind blew, brushing the hair out of her face. Her violet-blue eyes fell on Sora and she couldn't take it anymore. Kairi took a small step forward and wrapped her arms around him gently, laying her head against his good shoulder.

 

Sora let out a small gasp when he felt Kairi's arms around him. His barrier quickly broke down and he wrapped his arms around her too. He started sobbing into her shoulder, his tears flowing fast now.

 

Kairi closed her eyes when her emotions mixed. She felt overwhelmed that he was in her arms and hugging her back, but she also felt deep sorrow when she heard his tears. Kairi felt her tears slide down her cheeks. "I'm sorry," she whispered, her voice shaking.

 

Sora sobbed a little bit harder, grabbing Kairi more tightly as his body shook with each painful sob.

 

Kairi squeezed her eyes shut a little tighter when she felt his grasp, tears flowing from her eyes as she brought one of her hands to the back of his neck. Even through her gloves, she could feel that his skin was freezing. He was going to get sick, and it was because of her. She'd driven him out of the house, and it was her fault. She silently prayed that he wouldn't get sick. Kairi didn't think she could handle another visit to the hospital.

 

Sora sniffled and loosened his grip on Kairi, his sobbing starting to fade into normal crying now. He shivered again in her arms, his body almost feeling as cold as his heart at that moment.

 

Kairi buried her face in Sora's shoulder, squeezing her eyes shut when tears escaped her eyes. She inhaled a shaky breath as she held him in her arms.

 

Sora blinked and took in a shaky breath, slowly coming out of Kairi's shoulder. He had officially run out of tears. Or, at least, he hoped he had. He had done enough crying lately.

 

Kairi glanced up at him, but looked away when another tear trailed down her face, following the path of many others. She wiped it away with one gloved finger.

 

Sora sniffled and brought one hand up to his face, shakily wiping at his nose and tear stained cheeks with numb hands.

 

"We better go," Kairi insisted softly. She looked up at Sora, her eyes glistening.

 

Sora nod once, a cloud appearing in front of his mouth as he let out a breath.

 

Kairi nodded once back and turned around, starting to walk back the way she came.

 

Sora bit his lip and slowly followed Kairi towards his house. He tightly wrapped his arms and let out a breath as he walked.

 

Kairi glanced to her side and saw him next to her. She looked ahead again, her head slightly lowered as she walked.

 

When his house came into view, Sora kept his eyes locked on that instead of looking at anything else. Running into Kairi didn't change anything; when he got inside, he would just go and lock himself in his room so he didn't hurt anyone else.
