KH- Fast Food Madness!

Kairi followed Sora out, walking beside him as they entered the lobby. She looked out the entrance doors, seeing the snow fall lightly on the streets as cars drove by and people walked along the snow-covered sidewalks.

 

Sora blinked when he saw the front doors appear in front of him. The exit. He almost out of this place. At least for a little while, anyway. He kept walking.

 

Kairi looked over at Sora as they started to approach the exit. He seemed pretty calm. She turned her gaze to her shoes as they walked. Only a few more steps.

 

Sora took his final steps in the hospital and saw the automatic doors open in front of him. He quietly took in a breath and walked outside.

 

The cold air instantly touched Kairi's skin as she stepped outside. It was chilly out, but not as bad as she thought it would've been. She looked up at the buildings that stretched overhead, the snow falling down on her face. She smiled softly. Finally.

 

Sora stopped walking after taking a few steps outside, feeling overwhelmed with powerful emotions. Freedom with a mix of captivity. Happiness. Fearfullness. Joy. Relief. Everything was so mixed up and jumbled that Sora had to stand still for a moment as it all hit him at once, like a gust of cold wind. "Whoa," he breathed softly, looking up at the sky as a single snowflake landed on his nose.

 

Kairi turned her head to look at Sora, leaving the admiration of the snow. She smiled softly when she saw him. Kairi looked back up at the sky and closed her eyes, letting the snow fall down on her as she breathed in the fresh, cold air. "Feels nice, huh?"

 

Sora nod once and continued to stare up at the sky, lost in his emotions.

 

Kairi felt the snowflakes melt when they touched her face. The cold air blew her hair from her shoulders and she smiled even bigger now. She was enjoying the moment of peace.

 

Sora shut his eyes and sighed, feeling the cold snow land on his face and melt on his skin. So, this was what it felt like to be free. He had forgotten how sweet it was. Even if it wasn't total freedom, it was freedom nonetheless.

 

Kairi opened her eyes, seeing the tall buildings and the snow continued to fall from the sky. It was nice, this moment of peace. She looked over at the boy beside her, smiling softly when she saw him taking it all in.

 

Sora opened his eyes a crack as he let his head fall and his eyes stare at his feet. Through blurred vision, he saw one tear drop from his eye and fall onto the sidewalk.

 

Kairi saw something glisten from the lightpost on the other side of Sora. Her eyes softened when she thought she knew what it was.

 

Sora blinked once and felt two more tears fall from his eyes and land on the cold, frozen ground.

 

Kairi put a hand on Sora's arm, a reflex she couldn't control. She looked at the side of his face, her eyes concerned.

 

Sora opened his eyes and looked over at Kairi, giving her a small smile as another tear slid down his cheek.

Kairi noticed his smile, but she didn't return it. Her lips parted slightly as she stared at him, watching the tear trail down his face. Her expression was one of concern, her eyes softened.

OOC: Okay.

 

Sora looked directly into her eyes and noticed her concern. He chuckled softly. "I'm just...really, really relieved." He said quietly, giving her a small smile.

 

Kairi let out one small chuckle in relief, seeing her breath flow from her mouth as it appeared as a faint cloud. She smiled softly, and wiped the tear from his cheek.

 

Sora smiled at Kairi's touch, feeling safe with her being there. There was no need to be afraid; nothing else bad was going to happen. He shut his eyes and sighed softly.
