KH- Fast Food Madness!

Kairi smiled a little and continued to hold Sora's hand in her own.

 

"Even with this minor setback, he should be able to go home tonight." The doctor said with a smile.

 

Kairi perked up at that news, looking at the doctor with a smile on her lips. "Really?"

 

"Really." He smiled down at Kairi. "I probably shouldn't let him go so soon, but it's Christmas." His face became more serious at that moment. "However, he'll need someone watching over him. Preferably staying with him to help him out and keep an eye on him."

 

Kairi nodded, her smile dimming to a faint one. "Okay."

 

The doctor nod. "Come and find me when he wakes up," he instructed Kairi. "I want to check on him again before letting him go."

 

"Alright," Kairi said with another nod. "Thank you."

 

The doctor nod and left the room.

 

Kairi looked back down at Sora and smiled. She lifted her free hand to his head and ran her fingertips along his forehead, rubbing it lightly before bringing her hand back down. The news delighted her, and she couldn't help but smile.

Sora blinked several times as he opened his eyes, adjusting to the light. His eyes quickly dart to the clock. 6:45?!? When did it get so late?

 

Kairi stared at her feet as she sat in the chair next to Sora's bed, holding his hand in her own. She wondered when he was going to wake up. But luckily she had gotten out while he was still asleep and grabbed his coat and gloves. He'd need them when they went outside.

 

Sora suddenly felt warmth against his hand that he had somehow missed before. He looked over and saw Kairi holding his hand. But it didn't seem like she noticed that he was awake. "Hey, Kairi." He said softly, trying to shake off his grogginess.

 

Kairi lifted her head at the voice and smiled when she saw that Sora was awake. "Hi. How are you feeling?" She just remembered that she needed to get his doctor...

 

"Good," Sora answered, returning her smile.

 

"Great." Kairi's smile grew, revealing her pearly whites. That news was always good to hear.

 

Sora nod once, feeling his own smile grow at the sight of Kairi's.

 

Kairi kept her eyes on him but then looked at the clock. "Um...," she started, looking back at him, "I'll be right back, okay?"

 

Sora nod, but then began to wonder. "Is everything alright?" He asked, looking into Kairi's eyes.
