KH- Fast Food Madness!

Kairi kept her eyes on their hands together. "For what?" she asked softly.

 

"For being here," Sora said quietly, shutting his eyes as his smile grew a tiny bit.

 

Kairi flitted her eyes to him now, smiling kindly. "There's nowhere else I'd rather be," she said softly.

 

Sora let a small smile stay on his face as he grew more tired, taking in a breath and quietly letting it bad out.

 

Kairi looked back down at their hands again. She smiled and ran her free hand along his arm, her fingertips stroking his skin lightly.

 

The smile stayed on Sora's face as he fell asleep once again, Kairi's gentle touch acting as a beautiful lullaby.

 

Kairi thought over things as she continued to rub Sora's arm. It was around four o' clock, and even though it was Christmas Eve, she didn't mind staying here. As long as she was with him, what else did she need? Sora was her comfort zone, and even his presence made her happy, her heart grow warmer. Kairi didn't think she needed anyone else.

 

The door opened and Sora's doctor entered softly. "Hello," he greeted Kairi softly, noticing that Sora was asleep.

 

Kairi smiled softly at the doctor, her fingers running down Sora's arm toward his hand that held hers.

 

"Did he say if he was feeling better?" The doctor asked as he quietly approached the bedside.

 

Kairi nodded, putting her hand that had been stroking Sora's arm on her lap. "Yeah. He fell asleep just a few minutes ago."

 

The doctor smiled, but it quickly disapeared. "I'm afraid that I'm to blame for the pain. I should have come in earlier to put him back on an IV, but I got caught up with my other work. I apologize." He said sadly, ashamed at his mistake.

 

Kairi nodded. "As long as he's feeling better, that's all that matters." She wasn't going to say it was alright, because it wasn't really; Sora'd been in pain, and that was the thing she hated to see most.

 

The man nodded and looked down at Sora. "Did he say that anything else was bothering him? Dizzyness? Upset stomach?" He looked down at his clipboard while he was speaking.

 

"No," Kairi said, shaking her head.

 

The doctor nodded once and reached down for Sora's wrist, checking to make sure that his blood was properly circulating.

 

Kairi watched the doctor and then flitted her eyes to Sora, watching him as she slept. "How's he doing?" she asked softly.

 

"He's doing well," The doctor state as he gently laid Sora's arm back in its place.

 

Kairi smiled at that news as she kept her eyes on Sora. "That's good."

 

The doctor nod and scribbled something down on his clipboard.
