KH- Fast Food Madness!

Kairi thought different from him; it wasn't alright. If he was in pain again, it was never alright. She looked at him sadly in concern. She was afraid of this...

 

Sora shut his eyes and clenched his fist. "I think the medicine's wearing off," he said softly, tightening his hand even more as he tried to block out the pain.

 

Kairi watched him wearily. She hated seeing this, which is why she needed to get his doctor, especially after what he just said. "I'll go get your doctor," she said as she started for the door.

 

Sora nodded once, not questioning his need for medicine.

 

Kairi opened the door and let it shut behind her, walking down the hall. She hoped she could find his doctor around here somewhere.

 

Sora bit his lip as he shut his eyes tighter, the pain growing more intense.

 

Kairi caught a nurse walking down the hall toward her. "Um, excuse me," she said, her voice a bit frantic. The nurse walked over to her and she asked about Sora's doctor and the nurse pointed down the hall. Kairi thanked her and continued down the hall. She had to find him quickly.

 

Sora suddenly reached for his pillow and grabbed onto it tightly in his hands, opening his eyes a little bit as he looked down at his hands.

OOC: Ugh, gotta get off for now. Don't know if I'll be back later =(.

 

OOC: Okay. =/

Just as Kairi was about to approach the corner of the hall, she thought she saw Sora's doctor walk across the other hall and vanish from her sight behind another wall. "Wait!" she cried.

 

OOC: Back. Sorry about that. Having 1 computer for the whole family stinks =(

Sora put the pillow back in its spot and leaned against it, taking deep breaths as he tried to assuage the pain.

 

Kairi sprinted forward and went around the corner. "Hey!" she cried again.

 

OOC: Sorry I'm late! Same reason as before =(

A passing nurse stood around the corner and stopped Kairi. "Dear, is everything alright?" She asked.

 

OOC: It's alright. I saw you log on before, and then you were gone. I was like, "What the hey?" but I figured that was the reason. xD

Kairi shook her head. "No. My friend, he's in pain and I can't seem to find his doctor."

 

"I think I know who you're looking for. I work with him." The nurse told Kairi. "I can help your friend."

Sora shut his eyes tightly as he tried to keep his breathing even. He would try and fight through the pain...no matter how bad it was.

 

"Okay," Kairi said with a nod. "He's down this way." She motioned for the nurse to follow her and started walking back down the hall toward Sora's room.

 

The nurse nodded and quickly followed her back to Sora's room.

Sora blinked, an infinite number of tears in his eyes. He shut his eyes again and took in a shaky breath.

 

Kairi approached the door and whipped it open, walking inside as she heard the nurse follow behind her.

 

Sora opened his eyes a crack when he saw the two enter the room, one tear sliding down his cheek.

The nurse looked down at Sora sadly as she walked closer to his bed. Some of the medicine sat by the bed for use. She pulled a needle out of her pocket and filled it with the liquid medicine. The nurse looked down and saw that Sora had already turned his arm over, ready for the shot. "This'll hurt," she said as she gingerly stuck the needle in his arm.

Sora gasped softly and shut his eyes again. How could one little needle cause so much pain?

 

That one tear made Kairi's heart break. She hated seeing him in pain. She walked over next to his bed and watched as the nurse injected the medicine.

 

The nurse gingerly took back the needle and looked down at Sora. "The medicine should take affect in the next ten minutes." She turned and looked at Kairi. "I'll be down the hall if you need anything else," she said as she kindly left the two alone.
