KH- Fast Food Madness!

Kairi stared at her jean fabric that covered her leg as she thought about how cold it had to have been out there. Luckily she had her hat, gloves, and scarf with her.

 

The snow continued to fall. Sora blinked and looked down at the ground. He wasn't sure if he should let Kairi walk home in this.

 

Kairi remembered that the sidewalks weren't even really visible from the snow. If she did walk, it'd be only snow in her path.

 

"Maybe you should stay here for the night," Sora said sadly. If she stayed here, at least she would be safe.

 

Kairi looked up. "Okay," she said softly. At least she'd be with him.

 

"I wonder if there's a more comfortable place you can sleep," Sora said aloud, looking up at the ceiling. He knew those chairs were comfortable for sitting, but not for sleeping.

 

Kairi shook her head a little. "If I'm going to stay here, I want to be with you."

 

Sora smiled softly, understanding. This was a strange place, and being alone here was tough.

 

"You done looking outside?" Kairi asked, sitting up straight and uncrossing her arms and legs. "I don't want your doctor to catch you out of your bed again."

 

"Oh, yeah." Sora grimaced at the idea of having to lay back down. He was comfortable standing up.

 

Kairi bit her lip. "Sorry...I know you enjoy your time up." She felt bad mentioning it, but she didn't want him getting in trouble again.

 

"It's alright." Sora turned around and gave Kairi a small smile as he made his way back to the bed.

 

Kairi looked up at the clock on the wall, nibbling on her lip. It was close to eight o' clock.

 

Sora slowly laid himself back down on his back and rest his head on the pillows as he pulled up the blanket.

 

It was getting late, and Kairi was surprised they hadn't heard from the doctor in a while. She hoped they'd get better news when he came back.

 

Sora turned his head in his pillow and gave Kairi a small smile, letting her know that he really didn't mind her reminding him to get back in bed.

 

Kairi smiled back and reached for his hand. She couldn't wait for him to finally be able to leave.

 

Sora gently sqeezed Kairi's hand, looking back up at her a little sad. It wasn't right that she should have to spend the night here, but he would worry too much if he let her go home. Still though, she must have been bored out of her mind.

 

Kairi met his eyes. She could tell by the look on his face that he was upset, and she had an idea of what he was thinking. "Don't worry. I'd rather be with you than go home to an empty house."

 

Sora smiled weakly. "That may be, but this place isn't exactly paradise."
