KH- Fast Food Madness!

Kairi sadly watched Sora get up. She felt bad for him; he was just trying to move around, but she understood the consequences. She knew she didn't want Sora to hurt himself again.

 

The doctor watched as Sora climbed back into the bed. He felt bad for the teen, but his first concern was his health. "Sora, have you been feeling any pain?" He asked as he lift up his clipboard.

Sora nod once. "Yeah, kind of..." he trailed off.

 

Kairi turned around in her seat and looked at both of them.

 

"Could you describe it for me?" The doctor pressed for more detail.

Sora looked down at his feet. "My chest sometimes just bursts out in pain randomly." He paused. "I also tried moving my arm, so now that hurts too. It's not extreme pain, it's just kind of annoying."

 

Kairi grabbed her hat and gloves in her lap and got up. She walked over to the chair beside Sora's bed, where her coat was and put them in the seat. Still standing, she pulled her hair back and let it fall on her shoulderblades.

 

The doctor finished writing on his clipboard and looked up. "I know it's not easy, but you shouldn't be up and moving yet." He looked down at Sora. "If you need to move, you should wear a sling."

Sora frowned. He had thought that he was getting better, but now it sounded like it was the opposite. Or maybe not declining health, but not improving. It was the same thing to him.

 

Kairi decided to sit down after that news and she placed herself in the chair by the bed.

OOC: Gotta go. I'll be back later..maybe.

 

"I'll be back in a few minutes with some stronger medicine," the doctor told Sora, giving the boy a sympathetic look before exiting the room.

After he was gone, Sora shut his eyes and sighed, saddened by the news.

OOC: Okay.

 

Kairi leaned forward, her elbows against her knees as she glasped her hands together. She turned her head to Sora. "It'll be okay," she said softly.

 

"Yeah, but it doesn't sound like it's getting too much better now," Sora said sadly as he looked over at Kairi.

 

Kairi met his eye and only bit her lip. By the news they received, he sounded right. But before he was actually feeling better. He had to at least be happy about that.

 

Sora turned his head again and stared at the ceiling. He and Kairi both knew that he was right, and that was devastating for both of them.

 

Kairi looked down at her hands. She was hoping that the doctor's guess yesterday would be right, but now...she wasn't so sure. And it made her upset.

 

Sora bit his lip and looked up, not really seeing. He had really started hoping that he could go home soon, but now it seemed as if his dream was crushed.

 

Kairi sighed quietly, disturbed by the news. But she knew she shouldn't be worrying about herself right now. She looked up and put her hand on his, giving it a gentle squeeze.

 

Sora turned his head and looked over at Kairi gratefully. He was glad that she was there. He gently returned the gesture.

 

She smiled softly at him, wanting to reassure him that everything was going to be all right. Kairi desperately wanted him to finally be out of here; he'd been here too long.

 

Sora gave her a small smile, knowing it would help her smile stay on longer. He loved that smile so much--he would do anything to see it more often.

 

Kairi thought that he was at least trying by the smile on his face, which made her smile grow slightly. She rubbed his hand with her thumb, looking at their hands, and prayed that Sora'd be able to go home soon.

 

Sora lift his eyes to the door when he saw his doctor return with a needle in his one hand. Sora immediatly felt distressed again, knowing that the needle was for him. His eyes widened when the man got closer to the bed.

"We're going to take you off the IV for a little while and just inject a new kind of medicine," Sora's doctor explained as he went to work taking off the IV. After a few seconds, Sora's arm was free again and the doctor gently turned it over and held the needle close to it. "This may sting a little," He told Sora.

Sora nod and looked away, keeping his eyes on the floor as he felt the needle enter his arm. He grimaced as the injection began to sting, making his arm feel tingly and somewhat numb. He hated that feeling.
