KH- Fast Food Madness!

Kairi picked up her scarf and held it in her hands as she made her way to the door. Putting her hand on the knob, she looked back at him, smiling slightly. After a second, she opened it and went out quietly.

 

In his sleep, Sora rolled over on his side. However, he had forgotten about his chest and its tenderness. "Ouch," he hissed as he began to wake up again.

 

Kairi smiled politely at a few people on her way to the entrance. When she walked out, she wrapped her scarf around her neck and pulled her coat tighter around her. It wasn't as windy, but it was till chilly. She crossed the crosswalk with a crowd of people and started walking down one of the streets in search for Sora's gift.

 

Sora blinked several times as he became fully awake. He slowly lift himself into a sitting position as he put a hand on his wound.

 

Kairi passed some stores, noticing all of the people entering and walking out with bags. There were a lot of last-minute shoppers.

 

Sora turned his head over towards the chairs by his bed. Huh? Where did Kairi go?

 

Kairi entered one of the stores, hoping it'd have something she had in mind. Something symbolic, that's what she wanted.

 

Sora smiled a little. Now was the perfect time to call Roxas! He reached over to the endtable with his good arm and picked up his cell phone.

 

After looking through the glass cases, Kairi saw quite a few things she liked. All of the meanings were under the items, for they were unique in design. A lot of them represented him, and she couldn't quite choose.

 

Sora flipped open his phone and speed dialed Roxas.

 

Roxas felt his phone vibrate in his pocket and he took it out. He was confused when Sora's number showed up, but he answered it anyway. "Hello?"

Kairi continued looking through the cases, but couldn't find what she was looking for. She left the store and continued down the streets.

 

"Hey Roxas," Sora greeted his friend cheerfully, relieved that he had gotten hold of Roxas.

 

"Hey," he said back, noticing the change in Sora's voice. "You sound better."

 

"Yeah, I'm feeling pretty good today," Sora told him happily. "Hey, listen, I need a favor." Sora quickly got to the reason he called, not sure when Kairi would be back.

 

"Sure. Just name it," Roxas said.

Kairi looked up at the buildings she passed, glad to be out in the open again. But something...or rather someone... was missing.

 

"You know that jewlery store that's two blocks away from my house?" Sora asked.

 

"Yep," Roxas answered.

Kairi crossed her arms around her tightly as she walked with the crowd across another street. She had to find his gift.

 

"There's a necklace there that I'm supposed to pick up," Sora explained. "But since I can't really get by there right now, do you think you could get it for me?"

 

"Sure, no problem," Roxas said, happy to help. "Do you want me to hold onto it until you come home or do you want me to bring it to you?" He wondered if Sora was going to keep it secret until Christmas or not.

 

Sora hesitated. "I want it to be a surprise, so could you keep it until Christmas?"
