KH- Fast Food Madness!

The doctor looked down at his clipboard. "With all the trauma that's been done, we want to be sure that his chest and shoulder muscles fully recover so he can have complete use of his arm again." He explained.

 

Kairi nodded once. "Okay..." She looked away for a second, but quickly looked back. "He's okay, isn't he? You just saw him, didn't you?" Her expression was one of eagerness.

 

The man gave her a smile. "He's doing well, considering all he's been through. He's in some pain, but with the medicine we're giving him, and as time passes, it should fade away."

 

Kairi smiled softly. "Good. Thank you."

 

"Of course." He gave her a small smile as he turned to leave.

 

Kairi suddenly thought of something. "Oh! When you see him again, can you tell him that I'll be out of here soon to see him, and that I'm glad he's all right?" She bit her lip.

 

Sora's doctor turned around and smiled. "I will." He promised as he exit the room.

 

Kairi smiled and looked back out the window when he was gone. It'd be great if Sora got out just before Christmas. Just the thought of it made her happy.

 

The doctor opened Sora's door and peeked his head inside. He chuckled softly when he saw Sora lying on his back, fast asleep. He smiled as he quietly shut the door.

 

Kairi laid back down, sighing as she stared up at the ceiling. She started studying the patterns on the ceiling as she lay there, thinking about things.

 

Sora sighed in his sleep and tilt his head to the side as he took in another breath.

Sora blinked and woke up to the sound of beeping. Beep...beep...beep...He was really starting to hate that sound. He sighed as he looked up at the ceiling.

Kairi had been lying there for what felt like hours, just staring at the ceiling as she remembered everything that's happened. She went over everything since the robbery, and she realized that her and Sora had been through more than she thought. It made her sad, in a way. But it also made her a little more relieved that they made it through it all, and that they were at the point they were at now, which meant a lot considering they'd both be out of here soon. Kairi looked over to the window for the first time in a while. The snowflakes had stopped falling.

 

Sora blinked and curled his hand into a fist. He hated feeling this weak. He couldn't shake off the feeling, no matter how hard he tried. He knew there was nothing he could have done about it, but still, he didn't like this feeling. The hospital was really boring, since he couldn't even go see Kairi. He sighed sadly.

 

Why was it that they were in here anyway? What did they do to deserve this? What lesson were they supposed to have learned from this experience? Kairi didn't understand it; she didn't understand why the robber had to pick McDonald's of all places to rob, why Sora was the one who had to be shot, why he had to have the two heartattacks in one hour, why he had to feel sick for a certain time period, why she had to hit her head, why she had to lie to him that one time about her head pains, why her cut had been reopened, and why they'd both wound up inside Sora's heart. She was completely oblivious to them all, especially the last one.

 

Sora blinked as he stared at the ceiling. He wondered what Kairi was thinking at that moment.

 

Kairi rolled over in her bed, facing the window. She tucked an arm under her pillow as she stared out into the outside world. She'd been here in the hospital for as long as she could remember. She'd been here for Sora for all that time, and now she was in here for herself as well. She didn't regret any of that time, though. As long as she was with him, no time went wasted. Kairi sighed softly, blinking. She wondered what he was doing right now. Sleeping? Or lying awake like her?

 

Sora started to think. He wondered how he could possibly be free and happy with Kairi again after everything that had happened. There was so much that she didn't know, especially about the AntiSora. He blinked. When would he stop staying away from that topic?

 

As much as she wanted to get out there and walk around in the fresh air, Kairi'd wait for Sora. He deserved it more than her anyways.
